It's always been my suspicion that somehow Obama was able to hypnotize huge crowds (and through the magic of television even hundreds of thousands more) into falling for his "message" (read "slogan") which really said nothing. It was almost as if each voter heard exactly what he/she most wanted to hear from "their" candidate.
