I made 65,000/yr in California and paid 3,500 in income taxes and $500/yr on a 350,000 dollar home.

I make 50,000/yr here in Texas and pay $5000/yr in property taxes on a 200,000 dollar home.



So yea overall California took about 6% of my income in taxes while Texas takes 10%.


So who has the higher fucking taxes?

This state is a Joke. Half the neighborhoods don't even have sidewalks and the other half have no sewer connections forcing you to have a septic tank.
