Actually, Hydra, I believe you're incorrect on this one -- insofar as Orion does become a daytime constellation part of the year.

"Orion is most visible in the evening sky from January to March, winter in the Northern Hemisphere, and summer in the Southern Hemisphere. In the tropics (less than about 8° from the equator), the constellation transits at the zenith.

In the period May–July (summer in the Northern Hemisphere, winter in the Southern Hemisphere), Orion is in the daytime sky and thus not visible at most latitudes. However, for much of Antarctica in the Southern Hemisphere's winter months, the Sun is below the horizon even at midday. Stars (and thus Orion) are then visible at twilight for a few hours around local noon, low in the North. At the same time of day at the South Pole itself (Amundsen–Scott South Pole Station), Rigel is only 8° above the horizon, and the Belt sweeps just along it. In the Southern Hemisphere's summer months, when Orion is normally visible in the night sky, the constellation is actually not visible in Antarctica because the sun does not set at that time of year south of the Antarctic Circle.

In countries close to the equator (e.g. Kenya, Indonesia, Colombia, Ecuador), Orion appears overhead in December around midnight and in the February evening sky."

 Quoting: 74444

Looked at the question again and noticed that it consist of two (contradicting) parts:
"Is there a point where the Sun is in between Orion and earth ..."

The closest distance of the constellation Orion to the sun is 0°35' between June 19 and 21, 2014 (date changes during the years because of the precession of the equinoxes). Sun is in Taurus at that dates proceeding into Gemini on June 22nd.
Thus: No - there is no point where the Sun is in between Orion and earth.

"... that would make Orion appear in our day sky. (Not seen because of the brightness of the Sun.)"

When Ison is going at Perihelion in 28 November +- 2 days, there will be in the side of the Sun facing the comet, there will be two X-class flares.

While not unusual, it will be another confirmation that comets triggers CME and solar flares, in the side of the Sun they are approaching.

You asked two questions:
* Orion in our day sky = Yes
* The sun direct between Earth and Orion = No (but it's a close call - Orion is only 1/2 degree from the sun at three days of the year.)

Please download Stellarium and see for yourself.

It's the difference between being lost in the glare of the Sun (out during the daytime) and being behind the Sun ITSELF.

In other words, if the Sun were suddenly turned off, and it was just an object in our sky, (the glare of the Sun were gone) you'd see Orion AROUND it but never BEHIND it.

Makes sense?

And since it appears he's back...

Assuming relativity was a correct theory, since the satellites are completely stationary relative to the positions they locate on the planets surface, it is not possible that relativity could be a factor in precision location. This claimed application of relativity is false, and no one as ever been able to explain he assertion, it's just made.

Thread: Electric Universe and Electric Comet folks - ISON predictions wanted. (Page 10)

If IDW/A.A had done that, he wouldn't have made such a blunder again. Just goes to show about the fact that IDW/A.A will make and defend the claim long before he can be arsed to look into said claim. The Windows calculator comes to mind again.

Thread: Did we really go to the Moon? Why haven't we been back since 72? (Page 97)

Keep the thread going, but this one is definitely bookmarked and already on the List. IDW/A.A obviously wants to distance himself from it as much as is possible.

Like so many other claims of his.

What a dumb thread. If you were really curious about an EU prediction for ISON specifically, you would simply email Thornhill.

I have some questions for you though. Havent comets already been explained by EU proponents? If so, why is there something specific that you think needs to be addressed about ISON?

They have done, I guess asking for the 'theories' in one thread brings it all together, the fact is all those who are so sure about the EU seem to disregard the request.
To me that would suggest that they copy and paste what they have read and really have no thoughts of their own about it.

I'm sure someone will eventually come along with their own original ideas though so I'm not using the sheep tar brush yet.

So you are admitting that "two X-class flares." in 5 days are "not unusual", but if it happens "it will be another confirmation that comets triggers CME and solar flares..."?
Does anyone still wonder why "predictions" such as this elicit jaw-dropping disbelief?

This is essentially saying, "They aren't unusual, but if they happen they are evidence of highly improbable events."
It's the same as saying, "Mag 6 earthquakes aren't unusual, but if they happen they are evidence my delusion is correct." - see Elenin-Omerbatshit and Elenin-Terral, et al.

"Prediction" rejected as non-specific and self-admittedly "not unusual".

This is why x-flares, CMEs, earthquakes, thunderstorms, meteors, lost car keys, headaches, etc, etc. are not valid predictions.
They happen all the time independent of the presence of a comet. They are not unique.

STILL waiting for a specific, unique prediction from the EU/ECers.

They have made no predictions for ISON that I know of.
Very suspicious considering the volumes of kookdrool they publish on their website to miss an opportunity to demonstrate the power of their "theory", wouldn't you say?
(Of course you wouldn't. You like tall tales told around the campfire and still haven't forgiven your parents for telling you Santa doesn't exist.)

I would assume comets have been "explained" by the Thunderdolts.
I would also assume Frankie McDonald has also "explained" comets and their effects on telephone poles.
I want a demonstration that either "explanation" merits further consideration or is just idiocy.

I will state again -
I don't care what they say about comets (at this point), I just want a demonstration that what they believe and their explanation/model (whatever it may be) can make predictions.

You don't seem to like putting EU/EC to the test...
I wonder why.

Take a fucking pill. EU seeks to EXPLAIN what is observable in reality, just as GR does...

You want to force EU to predict something that has never been observed with a comet. How can you expect EU to predict something different happening with a phenomenon that has already been observed many times by us?

If it were a special event, something which had never been observed, then I would expect both GR and EU to make predictions and we could see which holds water.

So does Frankie McDonald and my Godzilla Universe Theory.
We both do much better than EU in explaining observed reality.
Show me something happening and I can, with amazing ad hoc ability, explain it simply and understandably to even a child... Godzilla Did It.

The Godzilla Theory can also make predictions of phenomena... after they have occurred. Isn't that amazing?

Face it... the EU "theory" is old and stale and just plain laughably wrong and is now being replaced by the superior Godzilla Theory. which can predict just as well as the idiotic EU "theory".

And to any objection from you I merely cite your own words above,
"How can you expect Godzilla Theory to predict something different happening with a phenomenon that has already been observed many times by us?"

Godzilla theory beats EU by a mile.

Re: Electric Universe and Electric Comet folks - ISON predictions wanted.
Take a fucking pill. EU seeks to EXPLAIN what is observable in reality, just as GR does...

Re: Electric Universe and Electric Comet folks - ISON predictions wanted.

Cool story bro. Im sure Godzilla Theory predicted this thread wouldnt achieve whatever you hoped it would. Stellar foresight from Reality420, the burnout astronomer.

Re: Electric Universe and Electric Comet folks - ISON predictions wanted.
So you are saying that EU predicts the exact same things for comets that mainstream science predicts?

Then, what is the difference?

 Quoting: Reality420

Take a fucking pill. EU seeks to EXPLAIN what is observable in reality, just as GR does...

You want to force EU to predict something that has never been observed with a comet. How can you expect EU to predict something different happening with a phenomenon that has already been observed many times by us?

If it were a special event, something which had never been observed, then I would expect both GR and EU to make predictions and we could see which holds water.

explain the electrical interaction between the Sun's electron emissions and the Earth's geomagnetic field referenced above. You are incapable of understanding either theory but a 6 year old with no training in science at all could look at those charts and see their is a direct relationship.
But then a 6 year old hasn't been totally brainwashed and is not willfully stupid like you are
