And once again, GLPers show they don't know the meaning of the word "evidence".

This is why EU/EC is a laughing stock. It doesn't even attempt to be scientific. It is science-fiction and damn proud of it.

Any EU/EC proponents who understand science care to make an actual prediction?

So far this "theory" is proving to be nothing more than fantasy for uneducated RubeTubers.

A basic principal of electromagnetics is that when a conductor moves through a magnetic field, an electric charge is induced, No scientifically literate person denies this.
Spectrograph analysis of comets prove they contain electrically conductive materials.

Since they are moving through a magnetic field [the interplanetary magnetic field of the Sun], they are inducing an electric charge. Since they are traveling at considerable rates of speed through a magnetic field in a vacuum, it makes the comet an almost perfect capacitor, and the only opportunity it has to discharge is by interactions with the solar wind and close encounters with objects of differing electrical potential. The theory that the tails of comets are made of material blown away from the comet by the solar wind is totally incorrect.

The double tail of many comets is a result of two different phenomenon occurring simultaneously, one is caused by the exact same principal behind florescent lights to, and is explained by the electric universe theory.

Give me 1/1000th of the funding the lamestream "scientists" spent trying to find the 'higgs bosom' and I'll prove the electric universe in one year.

Re: Electric Universe and Electric Comet folks - ISON predictions wanted.
OP is a very open-minded person. Resorting to calling names is one of the best ways to win an argument.

If you're not averse to reading, check out this e-book that the Thunderbolts team put together. It gives an overview of the principles of the Electric Universe.

As far as the comet goes, it's hard to make claims about something completely unfamiliar to us. The Thunderbolts team is careful to release anything overly outrageous; they mostly just mock NASA when NASA scientists have no clue what is going on. It's still a relatively new science and it's meeting resistance at the institutional level. So, education is the key.

It's not so much that Thunderbolts predicts things, but rather NASA incorrectly predicts events and is confused by the results and Thunderbolts corrects their predictions and more thoroughly explains the results.

One more thing. Watch this micro-documentary on Mars' true plast. This might just blow your mind:

Also, check out ThunderboltsProject's channel on YouTube, a trove of lectures, space news stories, and full-length movies. And that's it. We're not going to hold your hand anymore. Do some actual research on the theory. The Electric Universe theory is very intuitive and is easily digested by non-astrophysicists. You won't find intense calculus equations waiting for you.

Oh, and lose the shitty attitude. If you come to this forum wondering about Electric Comets but ask your questions in a sarcastic fashion, people are less likely to entertain your bullshit ranting.

Done for now and there's so much more. Maybe I'll pounce on this thread again soon.

Did anyone notice the EU shills have invaded with their Harry Potteresque EU fairy tales.

A lot of words but no science.
Nancy Lieder also babbles interminably about her idiotic "theories" and produces the exact same amount of evidence and science as you lot... None.

Enough with the fairy tales.

Produce a definitive prediction for ISON if your "theory" is capable. Already one interested reader has stated that the EUers lack of predictive power is very suspicious.

As Capt. Kirk would say, "No more blah, blah, blah."

Produce something measurable.
Make a prediction with your wonderful "theory".
If you cannot, it isn't science, it is pseudoscience and fantasy. You've had decades to work something out and what have you? Apparently nothing - an empty sack.

Please post an ISON prediction...

Electric Universe proponents have been crying about Ison for months yet are unable to understand their theory enough or do not have enough courage to make a prediction based on the theory.

Why do mathematics and physics principles related to orbital mechanics work (ordered, observable and predictable) but we have no mathematics or physics principles to apply to the EU theory that work consistently enough to match observations and allow for predictions?

These same EU proponents crying about Ison have a great opportunity to demonstrate their understanding of their theory and its validity.

Yes the e-force is quite substantial... at subatomic scales.
At macroscopic scales? Not so much. But I wouldn't expect a 10 year old such as you to realise this since you are just regurgitating loon-drool you've read on crazy internet sites.

Maybe you can answer this and if you can you'll realise how weak e-force is compared to gravity at the macroscopic scales of asteroids, comets, and planets.:

1e+10Coulomb (10 Billion Coulombs)?
(Wow, that's a lot of coulombs! How did that charge get on these objects? Were they hooked to a cosmic Van de Graaff generator?)

I'll leave the derivation to you genius but here's an hint: the distance between the objects doesn't matter for this calculation. Can you tell us why?

Is gravity much, much less than electrical?
Or, is it much, much greater?

Oh, loock - the GLP-comet-expert entered the playing field.

When the comet approaches the Sun, interactions between it's electrical charge and the Sun will be evident. LASCO c3 is a good resource to observe, but be quick to copy and archive any instances because they are quickly removed.

There will be visible arcs between the comet and the Sun as has happened before. The Sun will be active during the comets approach.

I have enough data right now to prove the electric universe theory to any rational person who is not emotionally constrained by the faith based religion of "Einsteinian pseudoscience".

 Quoting: DooobieDooobieDo

What part of the OP didn't you understand?

<snip>
About your predictions:
Vague generalities are not forecasts or predictions. Anyone can wave their hand and say, "There will be more bad weather." That is meaningless.
In like manner, saying, "There will be solar flares and CMEs." is meaningless since there are always flares and CMEs and it is solar max. at this time, weak as it may be.
See this thread amongst many others for flares & CMEs that are just part of the natural cycle of the sun:
Thread: SOLAR WATCH * 312 M & 25 X FLARES starting 3-7-2011 (Updated Daily)

The same thing goes for all other natural occurrences. If it happens naturally, it is impossible to make a statement about the causality with a dataset consisting of n=1 (ISON). If you don't understand that, you don't understand science and the natural world and the EU and EC ideas are not scientific.

It doesn't get any more specific than that, how can it? Of you are asking me to make a 'doom' prediction, forget it asshole. Your world will end soon enough
 Quoting: Anonymous Astrophysicist 24917099

Actually it is not very specific at all.

What is “massive” in terms of a CME? M-class? X-class?

Additionally, what does “during perihelion” mean? If there was an X-class flare today, would that be “during perihelion” even though it actually occurs 3 weeks from today? Is there also a 3 week window on the other side of perihelion for a total of 6 weeks? Are we going to define “during perihelion” as a six week window with actual perihelion as the median? What does “during perihelion” mean to you? If we are going to test this scientifically, shouldn’t this be defined?

Lastly, does the CME have to be directed at Ison, or can it occur anywhere on the sun? If it is directed toward Ison, how will we define directed in degrees? Will there be antipodal activity in conjunction with the CME?

The prediction: “A massive CME during perihelion” is clearly neither “specific” nor “scientific”. You are an astrophysicist right? You should know better.

Here we are and the Grand Total of EU ISON predictions stands at an impressive:
ZERO.

It's as if EU/EC are like the big-mouthed Texas blowhard - 'All hat, no cattle.'
(I'm beginning to suspect the EU/EC fantasy is just a scam to sell books and DVDs and lectures and other merchandise to gullible science illiterates on the web.)

Re: Electric Universe and Electric Comet folks - ISON predictions wanted.
such a "bait" thread - giving yet another of Astro/Geo's persona the opportunity to bash the messengers of a NEW intelligence that makes theirs - their entire community of academic automatrons look completely incapable of even entertaining a NEW perspective of our Solar system and its purpose in the grand scheme of things ... which is btw NOT limited to Science's THEORIES - but Humanities consciousness of how THEY work, individually - electronically

Spectrograph analysis of comets prove they contain electrically conductive materials.

And these conductive materials are?

THIS GUY HYDRA WITH ASTROTROLL/GEO AND OTHERS like THEM SUFFER FROM NORMALCY BIAS

The normalcy bias, or normality bias, refers to a mental state people enter when facing a disaster. It causes people to underestimate both the possibility of a disaster occurring and its possible effects. This often results in situations where people fail to adequately prepare for a disaster, and on a larger scale, the failure of governments to include the populace in its disaster preparations. The assumption that is made in the case of the normalcy bias is that since a disaster never has occurred then it never will occur. It also results in the inability of people to cope with a disaster once it occurs. People with a normalcy bias have difficulties reacting to something they have not experienced before. People also tend to interpret warnings in the most optimistic way possible, seizing on any ambiguities to infer a less serious situation.
