Charities Are Destroying America

I'm guessing this is meant to suggest government does it better, which would be the most idiotic statement of the century. SOME charities are run inefficiently and have high overheads. However, most of them do good things for people, and far better and more cheaply than government ever could.

Not even a close second to government with the difference in $$$ volume and overhead.

Heck no...it's not good to donate your money...and these celebrities should have to flip the entire bill if they want a charity...middle class/poor class should not be allowed to donate a dime

Charities are a scam in the system that needs to be taken down...

Lots of scams. But the biggest ones are imposed without choice.

These folks that run these charities aren't really doing a thing but wasting time. America was built on real jobs not these posh fake jobs.

No, they are all scams to some degree. When I heard what the CEO's of MOST of those "charities" pocket I was done. Even the blood you DONATE to the red cross is sold for exorbinant prices to hospitals.

NGO's are, local charities are not. Simple really.

I agree with that last part OP, but there is a real need for charities, moreso than ever because the average American will never see all the people who need help. Yes, there's a level of beauracracy to them that could be trimmed but local charities like food banks and drug outreach programs do a pretty good job,need to exist and most don't get federal funds.

Far from perfect but still better than nothing.
