Their policies come with high deductibles and if they got the list of Dr's and hospitals they can use they would probably prefer the old insurance. I did some checking here within blue cross and unless you take the top policy which is considered platinum on the AHA website you can only use certain hospitals, even within a chain of hospitals, you can not go to the better ones, the lower ins coverages of bronze, silver and some gold plans only accept patients to the hospitals considered least desirable. That doesn't even mention the deductibles that have to be paid up front to get treatment. So they may pay 800 per month but when they also have to shell out 6-10 grand instead of 2-3 grand it doesn't seem like a better deal to me. There wasn't one of the Dr's anyone in my family has ever seen on the list of approved network Dr's on any plans blue cross had except the platinium plan network.

ACA or obamacare should be mandatory for all federal and state employees. If the government thinks that's the best for the people, they should have the same. We pay for the government and they have the best care plan, but, barrack said the government is exempt from his own plan. He knows his plan for the people sucks. What's this POS president doing to the country? FBI,NSA,CIA,DHS,FDA,EPA,IRS,EDD,DMV,ATF,HUD,USPS,TSA, etc... What else are we paying for? Very sad for the future.

Deductibles do not have to be paid before treatment. 3500 duductible, the same as his old plan. Same docs and hospital system.

I have always been asked to pay upfront for the part of a treatment/surgery that was not going to be covered under the insurance. The only exception was at a hospital, when they asked and I said I didn't have it they accepted a partial pmt but at a surgery center they want it all upfront.

know a guy with kidney cancer. they would not operate until until they got paid in advance.

With socialized medical this person probably would not even know he had cancer and the wait to get help would mean death.

I don't know if you noticed, but the rich will always get great care and the poor will get substandard care.

How do you think a Doctor feels after spending a fortune getting educated on how to heal people. You think he is gong to sit around and spend huge amounts of time filling out forms provided by the government to get paid, While not even sure he will get paid?

Get this through your thick skull dude. The rich will always have good health care. The leeches not so much, nor do they deserve it.

There is no way to equalize things, because the cost of becoming a doctor is huge amounts of money.
