They should use Fentanyl. 1 milligram (ONE milligram!) would produce painless death within 2 minutes after instantaneous loss of consciousness. Probably would cost 3 cents per execution.

If not that, use some other powerful opioid like dilaudid. . . 50mg of that would probably do the trick just as fast. Or if you want to go real basic, good old morphine will reliably kill at about 250mg.

The death penalty should not be barbaric because there is always the chance that the person is innocent. There have been many, many people executed who were innocent and if even one person was killed unjustly that is enough to overhaul to entire system.

No more electric chair, hanging, or gas. Just a warm beautiful rush of opiate bliss to take you to heaven or hell, because the Creator judges us not the state.

How about strapping the convicted to a surgery table, and fit him with a mask with nitrogen gas pumped into it?

Soon the convicted suffocates, and nitrogen, being an inert gas does not damage his tissues or organs.

Then the convicted can be a blood, tissue & organ donor for the benefit of society he fucked over.

It is all about the organs, money to be made that is more than likely the reason, convenience.

This is bullshit. You're still conscious for a period of time after your head is cut off, and I can't imagine a worse hell then the agony and horror a decapitated person goes through in those final moments. The most humane method of execution would be with inert gases, specifically nitrogen.



I know a lot of the Christians on this board would rather watch people suffer to death despite the teachings of Jesus and the prominent number of murderers mentioned in the bible who went on to become saints, but I think given the extreme fallibility of government, and the estimated number of innocent people currently in jail for crimes they didn't commit, it's best to provide a quick and painless method for government sanctioned death.
