The saddest part of this whole sad sad story is how Canadians are foaming at the mouth for the media coverage on this.

As A Canadian and Torontonian i don't believe that this is true. This sounds like the dying gasps of a finger-pointing Ford supporter.

At this point, the reason this guy should step down and stop embarassing the shit out of our wonderful (but not perfect) city has absolutely nothing to do with his policies or lack thereof or how congruent they are with ANYONE's political ideologies.

The man has serious substance abuse problems. And whether i would have voted for him or not makes no difference in the fact that he is absolutely not fit to lead the municipal government and represent this city to the world.

Had he admitted to the drug use initially, when the crack story FIRST broke, apologised, then faked a stint in 'rehab' for 30 days, i'm sure no one would even be talking about this anymore.

However, the biggest issues with me reside in the way he handled the situation. Lie, lie, lie, deny, deny, deny, deflect, deflect, deflect. Then he comes out and finally admits to smoking crack, but it was in a 'drunken stupor' (his words) so he's not sure when and where?

Such bullshit. This man is a liar, a fraud, and completely not fit to lead. There are people (Anthony Smith) who are currently DEAD because of a connection to the larger scope of this particular case. And we still have very very much to learn about Mr. Ford in the coming weeks.

Like that 400 page police document used for the trial and prosecuution of Ford's occasional driver that was just released, and where much of the new interest in this case has been sparked from. Large sections of this document pertaining directly to Rob Ford have been blacked out/redacted, but i've been told that it is going to be released to the public soon, and the worst revelations are yet to come.

And why is this lunatic still a mayor?

In the latest vid, Rob talks smack about whomever is calling him, his brothers and family, "birds".

"Birds" is slang for a person that sells CRACK.

We are all waiting with baited breath for him to be dragged away in cuffs.

I've lived in or near Toronto all my life, and have much 'experience' within the underground world of drugs and general shadiness, and i've never heard the word 'BIRD' used as slang for a crack dealer. I've heard it used as slang for a kilo of coke, or for a loser/stupid person, but never as a dealer.

It doesn't matter. I'm just ashamed that the international community now has to view our city through the lens of this surreal fuckup, and theres nothing that can be done to get him out of office, even though he is clearly unfit to lead.

He doesn't represent our city in the slightest. In 1998 the city of Toronto was amalgamated to include all its outlying suburbs, where the upper-middle-class rich white conservatives live. These are the people who voted for Rob Ford, and absolutely do not represent Toronto in actuality.

Him and his brother have been involved in the drug trade, gangster lifestyle, and other general shadieness long before they were involved in local politics.

Its just shameful that after this his approval rating has gone up 5%. I don't care who you are. If you're an outer-lying rich white suburban conservative, or a downtown lower-class leftist. I don't understand why, at this point, there is ANY question at all amongst any group of this mans fitness to lead and/or represent our city. For shame.

Rob Ford and his brother have also said that police cheif Bill Blair are out to get them. And although i don't agree with much of what Blair did/does, i do believe he has at least a moderate respect for the law, and i do believe that they have been building a case against Rob Ford for some time.

As i said previously, there is a TON of stuff in the police's 'PROJECT TRAVELLER' documents that are a part of a huge police operation that involve Ford. Much of the Ford connections have been redacted from the released documents, indicating that perhaps they are continuing to build a solid case against him. But we will see a lot of this stuff in the next few weeks.

I think the only reason why he even bothered to finally admit to all the accusations is because what is to come will make him smoking a little crack look like child's play.

THERE HAS BEEN AT LEAST 2 MURDERS connected to this whole thing and the crack video. And i hope that Ford fucking goes down for his involvement/connection to the conspiracy.

The city that boasts they are better than the rest of the country.

The story and his behaviour are so fricken unbelievable, it's like a car crash, you can't look away.

Crack is a hell of a drug and one really has to question his ability to make rational decisions for the City when you don't know who is waving the crack rock under his nose.
