Sorry this whole sandy hook lie gets at me. There was absolutely no reality to it at all. Pisses me off to no end.

Interesting story...made more interesting by the fact that the only person that could have related it...Sally Cox...isn't mentioned by name anywhere in the article.

One officer asked him if he wanted to give the children a blessing. It was at this moment that he understood that some of them had died.

So they let him into the school...but not the parents?

I think it's time to demand a criminal trial for the supposed shooter Adam Lanza.

We need depositions and a witness accounts to prove this happened the way they say it did.

My words exactly, NOBODY.. and if someone would have told me I could not see the body of my child, I would have went ballistic. Photographs? Matter of fact I looked up the law, they can't tell you, you are not allowed to see the body.

Being one of the most heart-wrenching stories that the shooting could produce, I am calling BS on the fact that we are just hearing about it now. The media would have been all over this aspect of the story from day 1. Its perfect TV.

This tale just serves to give the appearance of third party verification. Whoever was behind this has a problem - the absurdity of parents not seeing the bodies of their children, and they need some sort of "proof" that the bodies were really there. Enter Mr. Priest.

If the priest was the only one outside of LE and the ME to see the bodies, it gives the official story an "out" that someone not involved in the investigation saw the bodies and that they acutally existed. Give me a break.

Another loose end to the story clumsily tied up.

Fr. Weisz declined to bless the children - that's also omitted from this article. They make it sound as if he entered the school, but in all other articles, he said he turned around and went to the firehouse to "help the living."

Yep, yep. They fought for them...they wrote about their fight for them...then, when they got them...they couldn't be bothered to release them.

Kinda makes you wonder why they bothered.

They released the toxicology finally a few weeks ago, and hosted the scanned pages. I don't know if that host also covered the death certificates (giving sparse facts), but it was a Connecticut news source. It is the current thing, to release source material. I don't think I've ever seen AP release unfiltered, unaltered source material to their followers. In the case of the death certificates, they might have feared being liable to subjecting the families to harassment so didn't host. Same will likely apply to Associated Press. They'll say whatever is non-conspiratorial on those recordings and keep the rest to themselves. They may perceive it'd be damaging to their relationship with their readers. Instead, if they find anything incriminating, they will use it for their own leverage behind closed doors. Just expect more of the same, I think.

(In regards to the Toxicology reports, maybe what was so incriminating was what was missing? They did not have the DNA results, perhaps? Wayne Carver specifically warded people off making those inquiries (something like "if they said anything incriminating, I would have included it in the autopsy"). Maybe it has to do with the blood sample matrix problem? They seemed awfully worried about something when AbleChild made their request.)

So you are suggesting that parents can overpower local, state, and federal law enforcement to get into a crime scene?

You certainly arent from the US like your flag shows, because here in the US we dont have criminal trials for dead people.

They most certainly can stop you from seeing the body while the body remains in the crime scene, and there is no 'law' that says otherwise.

What do you...or anyone else...make of that? What...6 kids in that school were in his church? I mean isn't that what priests are for? He's offered the opportunity to perform last rites...and passes?

In any episode of MASH I ever saw Father Mulcahy was adamant about wanting/needing to perform last rites on the dead/dying :)

Yes - without anything else to go on, I believe it's an official, public way out for him to not have to say anything about what he didn't see. If he'd "gone in to bless the bodies," he'd have to testify to that.

It was a Newtown officer, I believe, who asked him to go in (acc. to the story), but he declined. I've wondered if this meant a CSP officer interfered at that point, or whether the whole story was just tripe.

The thing is - why publicize that story at all? I think, again, it's because enough people knew Fr. Weiss was down near the school doors that they assumed (rightly) that he, as the priest of at least 8-11 of the deceased, would absolutely go in. The more traditional of his parishioners would even be hoping against hope for last rights, if he felt the souls were still with the body; technically, last rites may be administered even after physical death in that case.

The idea that a priest--their priest--would be asked to give the blessings, but not give them, is just baffling to me.
