That "dust devil" was strong enough to rip the mirror off the car. Also, going back and watching that again, there's no wind blowing the leaves on the bushes. Perfectly clear, still day. EVERYWHERE gets dust devils. They are not a phenomenon relegated to a small geographic area. It's made obvious by the fact that after the mirror rips off, it is drawn in and spun with the current of the visible debris/air in the cyclone. They are especially common in areas where buildings can redirect air and create turbulent conditions, but happen with great frequency out in the open as well. |
