It works because Gold and Water are both very good conductors of Electricity. The Rods pick up on unseen fields. Its not witchcraft or magic. Just misunderstood science. This is not how dowsing works! Rods do not detect or pick up fields that water or minerals produce. I am expert metal detectorist and field dowser. I have been trying to find it manually grom the grass few hours now but without luck. As it is especially emotionally valuable to me I cant clear my mind and use intuition in order to find it.
