The last paper is better to explain what you are getting at. You could be correct in the theory that this is an anti matter hunk from the Oort cloud. There will be no doubt when this gets near another large object Like Mars; and the odd photos of a Coma around the planet.

Re: Blue star kachina and comet ISON explained using Cherenkov radiation
Just read the paper and I am unaware of any medium in a vacuum or near vacuum that would exist around a comet. You need a medium for these reactions to occur. Maybe it is just the color of particles given off by the comet.
The color is easier explained by particle color in light from the suns energetic particles.
 Quoting: rachaelsdad

The medium is comet ISON (antimatter) and the solar wind (matter) interacting with each other.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 39527304

wait...what? i doubt very much that ison could be made of antimatter! The amount of energy it would give off would be staggering. We would be able to detect gamma radiation from it too.
as for two colours, i can guess it is possible. If the comet is made up of densely packed chunks, all it would need would be for some of those chunks to be made up of different things to give off different colours.

ISON is also described as a comet inside a much larger coma.

This is because ISON is a red comet that emits a large bluish coma that envelops it!
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 39527304

so is it the blue and red kachina in one?

Have you made calculations to substantiate your claim that the bluish Cherenkov radiation ISON is emitting right now cannot be considered staggering?

It has already been said that the solar wind is almost a near vacuum. The huge amount of energy created by a near vacuum of matter from the solar wind and the antimatter of ISON is what is producing the bluish Cherenkov radiation eveloping ISON.

The fact the the color of ISON changed from green to blue is indicative that the matter/antimatter annihilation is intensifying as it approaches the Sun! Remember blue wavelength is more energetic than green.

it was never truly green. it was always bluish-green. even now it may not be as blue as the pics indicate, and i see next to ne red. what little bit of red that can be seen could easily be from editing the colour levels, same with the intensity of the blue. everyone edits the pics a little differently. And there are no calculations needed. "staggering" is a relative term. what staggers you may not phase me in the least. All i am saying is that there is nothing to suggest we are looking at a chunk of antimatter.

I would have to agree with GreenGirl... If it was anti-matter, we should be feeling it. But then, maybe we will feel it when it gets closer. Surly the Sun would react in a very noticeable way being so close at perihelion. Lets hope the anti-matter theory is pure puppy doodoo.

Hey if there is any possiblity this thing is antimatter or ball lightening surrounding the coma of the comet; then if red means death then this is the red one.
If i understand correctly the electric theory of the universe could have this as a massive amount of electrical energy. I hope someone chimes in. If this is a reaction from antimatter we are toast if chunks react to the sun and form a type of enclosed CME.
The reaction to a small amount of matter could in theory cause a blue ball lightening.

The solar wind is a near vacuum. Here is a paper of Solar wind densities.
[link to hypertextbook.com]

The color change can just be explained by easier methods: Occam s razor.
 Quoting: rachaelsdad

Astronomers usually explain a comet's color by the kind of elements or materials present in the comet, so a comet changing its color is something that can't be explained by them.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 39527304

Since comet ISON emits its own light (blue Cherenkov radiation)Nostradamus calls it a bearded star!
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 39527304

Comets have been called hairy or bearded stars since ancient Greece. I believe the Chinese had a similar term. So any comet can be a bearded star.
 Quoting: rachaelsdad

But in the case of ISON, it has a more meaningful application.

Some astronomers are now saying ISON behaves more like a solid object than a fluffy comet. And now, I am saying it is emitting its own light (Cherenkov radiation), just like a star would.

Yes, the solar wind is a near vacuum, but even the smallest amount of matter it has will create enough detectable energy when annihilated by antimatter.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 39527304

OKie Dokie; re read the paper you put up. You need a dense medium for this type of radiation to occur. And you have just agreed that the solar wind is a near vacuum. I do not understand where the anti matter you are discussing is coming from.
 Quoting: rachaelsdad

I am saying ISON is an antimatter comet!

I do not think it is antimatter either; however healthy speculation is fun. If the coma is 3km of antimatter and it hit the earth; the earth would be gone. E=MC2

What makes this one antimatter? It is actually a renegade star or something similar?

Those saying doom, why? It passed Mars close and interacted with it but no doom. Or maybe it is DOOM. What it did to Io is definitely DOOM!

Really strange. I researched other explanations and the more current is that the comet has "forbidden oxygen" ... The two explanations are very unusual.

In the next 20 days its speed will increase 3 times. It will most likely go red and hace wings of plasma being pulled behind it. If it just vents a blue mask on Dec 21, 2013 than the red kachina is coming nect. It could all be in one event. Not certain.
