Like millions of Americans, I have worked my fucking ass off for a lifetime. I am on the downhill side of my time here and, as my sig line states "I'm (getting to the point where)I just don't give a fuck anymore. Over a lifetime, I have seen the U.S involved in any number of fuckups, i.e. the Kennedy assassination, Vietnam, Kent State, Watergate, hostages for 444 days in Iran, the Cold War, etc. etc., and any number of other shit. A list too long to post here. I've seen it all. Recessions, inflation, gas shortages, crooked politicians, false flag wars. You name it. The difference between then and now is that, in all these situations, the nation, as a whole, was not beat into the ground the way it has become with Obama, the Congress, and all the ABC agencies and their shenanigans. I prefer to call it outright treason. In the past, we always had the knowledge that we lived in the most free country in the world, even IF our leaders were, at times, a bunch of douchebags. We always knew that things WOULD get better. No matter what. Not now. This bunch of assclowns in power now, dems and repubs alike, have stolen our way of life forever. It started about 20 years ago, and has slowly crept up on us over the years. For the first time in my lifetime, I question whether we will be able to recover from what our elected officials have wrought. It turns my stomach to say that I fear that we will not be able to reverse course this time. Sorry for the rant, but the sorrow and stress of watching our nation decline at such a rapid rate has really got me down. I have 2 sons and 5 grandsons who will have to endure the death throes of our nation. I have sympathy for them.

Please don't apologize for your rant. You said everything I have been wanting to say. I remember Kent...I lived in Toledo, OH. I remember JFK, etc. too. I fear for this country. It's not the America I remember. Our "selected" politicians are all liars. Trust in America is dead. I try to believe everything will be ok, but I feel in my heart we are on the final downward slide.
