This is not an isolated case, although it is the worst I've seen. As one person posted, this may be an example of what we can expect with government "health care." The federal government, and all branches thereof, have designated the American people as "The Enemy" and seem to feel that we are no longer deserving of any consideration whatsoever, humanitarian, or otherwise. My daughter was crippled in a training accident while serving in the U.S. Army. She was officially designated as disabled. Although it was a small percentage, she was qualified for a disability benefit. Now, ten years later, she still has not gotten a dime. At one point, when a VA rep was assisting her, she requested her file from the Army at Ft. Jackson. She received a thick packet of paperwork in the mail, took it to her rep, and when they opened it, it contained a half-inch thick stack of cut newspaper and not a single document. Upon complaint to Army officials, she received sympathy, promises of assistance, but, to date, no disability payment. If anyone is considering joining the military, I would suggest you re-think that, especially if you are a woman. I have a great deal of respect for our military veterans and active duty men and women, but the bureaucrats simply consider us cannon fodder. I wish this young woman success in whatever avenue she chooses to get some sort of reparation for the damage done to her. I would caution everyone else, this could be you. May God be with us always. This is a really sorry situation. Lots of other stories there I see, and we are hearing lots of them from men too.

I have a female neighbor that had joined the Army and went to Afghanistan. She was raped and discharged. Now she has to see a psychiatrist every week. And as you described she hates to be around other people. She cannot work and walks her dog late at night in order that she will not run into other people. It is just a matter of time before she loses everything as she is now living off a credit card that is about charged up to the max. Her house is underwater as she owes much more on it than it is worth.

It is a real sad case as she was not butchered like the women in the video and is still a very beautiful women with long blond hair but her life is ruined and I don't see her ever being mentaly right again.

Well, she has two separate and horrific things happening to her.

First the rape followed by questionable psychiatric detention.

Secondly, the rather horrific medical procedures.

I wonder if she has seen a pelvic reconstructionist. Yes, there is such a specialist as one of my kids had to have one when his pelvic bone was severely damaged in auto accident.

He was at the National Hospital in Washington, D.C. so maybe that petition could get her to Walter Reed and so see a specialist in her situation.

Government medical care in all it's finest and what is likely in store for so many of us under Obamacare.

It's a miracle she is alive after all the botched medical treatments and procedures.

But I don't think internists are the ones she needs to be seeing and wish she had better options for treatment.

This is a living nightmare.

My Dad served 6 years during Vietnam Era and to this day he will have nothing to do with the VA. After he suffered an injury and got shrapnel sprayed all over his left side he spent awhile in a VA Hospital and he said to himself IF I GET OUT OF HERE ALIVE I WILL NEVER COME BACK. Now he is 65 years old and he has never been back.

. By the way he has been suffering from skin cancer all over his body and it is believed to be from agent orange and for that HE is paying the bill!

This lady's story is just nothing short of a tragic train wreck. Surely KARMA will get those Doctors in the end.

1. They will give you any surgery you desire and than some in the .mil. They are all teaching/training grounds for medical personnel. This tends to create some very sick humans in my experience.

2. Opportunity and attitude is how a majority of rapes are carried out in general. We give the opportunity with the wrong attitude...just my experience. I have slept in rooms during my time in piled high with men and they knew they would die at some point in time if they touched it. It is called a blanket party....

3. You don't ask for your medical record from .mil; you take it.

4. If you are entitled to VA benefits due to a disability get a lawyer who has worked in this arena before...don't dick around on your own.


While I feel really bad from her I have in my family and know many females who have been and are currently serving and rape has never been an issue. Even when their boots are on the battleground. Just my 2 cents.

This is horror. I knew it was bad from my parents' stories--like my mom having an artery severed during a routine dental procedure and almost bleeding to death before she was even triaged- but this is a nightmare.
