Prior to Ford being elected, all garbage was collected by unionized city employees, with the usual high pay, bankable sick days, great benefits and gold-plated pensions.

These assholes went on a long strike in 2009, with the usual absurd demands despite the fact that world was still reeling from the economic meltdown. It was disgusting on all levels and our lefty mayor at the time eventually caved.

Now, we have a contracted company doing it (for 1/2 the city, at least.) Service complaints and costs are down, since the those workers receive about the same pay but less benefits and no gold-plated pensions.

From the months long police investigation of Rob Ford (connected to a murder), the cops interviewed his staff. Several members of the staff said that they had overheard him make sexual harassment comments to another female staff,(which she denies) and to a female security guard. his staff told the cops Rf used crude language about having sex/going down on both of those women.
RF was addressing the statements his staff gave to the police.
He totally embarrassed his very shy wife with these comments. Then he dragged her out to publically humiliate her and make her stand beside him in shame, while he shamelessly fake-apoliogized for those crude comments.
