I disagree with the notion that we should " start over" after it's repealed. There is no start over. Why? Because the government does not have the authority to implement any type of health care system, good or bad. That's up to the private sector.

Plenty of things the government has done, is doing, and executes laws that are unconstitutional and are getting away with it. This goes for all 3 branches. It's a 3 branch dictatorship if you haven't noticed.

The solution to this is (and it is less extreme than civil war) an Article5 Constitutional Convention. One that originates with state senators. Under this article, the states have the authority to add an amendment or repeal onewithout approval from the congress or the senate. This movement is underway as we speak. Our own Indiana state senator David Long is involved and in contact with senators from other states to get the ball rolling.

In a peaceful civil circumstance the guy with the Gold makes the rules. When civil law breaks down the guy with the guns makes the rules.

What's next...lengthening the terms a person can run for POTUS unilaterally? Might become possible being we are a nation of precedence since Marbury v Madison. Congress just keeps letting the Executive Branch seize more and more authorities via usurpation.

Wow, so many live under a rock. This isn't the first time a POTUS says or DOES something in contrast to the principles of our constitution.

Furthermore, it is disgusting to hear so many (luckily not on these boards) claiming that the SCOTUS is a coequal branch of government when it is not. Then, for them to claim that SCOTUS has the power to create legislation and for those that understand what is happening to do nothing about it!

I hate to break it to you all but the Constitution is just a peace of paper. It is abused, trampled and only held up as a slogan for political gain in a disgusting enterprise. It has no authority because we the people refuse to stand behind it and it is US, NOT a peace of paper that is responsible for this governments adherence to the law.

We the people are culpable for every action this government does as we only voice our opinions while sitting behind keyboards or standing on overpasses waving flags. It is of little consequence save for the fact that we might be able to network for the off-chance that we find our backbones.

Meanwhile, I suspect many will continue to blame the bankers, the jews (or the zionists), catholics (or whatever other religion group), the politicians, the lobbyists, the corporations or systems of government, monetary system or the fact your votes count little more than a bear shitting in the woods simply because it is the easy road while in fact, WE are to blame.
