Has there ever been a case in history were the people stand up and fight without some figure head organizing it all? I really don't know myself.

I just can't see the population spontaneously getting off their fat asses without some well funded organizing.

I agree though, fear is a great controle but lets face it if they come for you I don't think your neighbors are going to come and help you and I my self would rather flee than take on a bunch of well trained stormtroopers by my self. My skinny little ass wouldn't last a minute, plus being a single father I have my sons well being to think about as do so many parents out there do. Who would take care of my son if I were to stand my ground and fight? I would be fleeing more for the reasons of love not fear.
