Relieved to have made it through today. We're not far from Washington. Took shelter in our bathroom because we don't have a basement. I've lived in Central IL my entire life, and this was the closest call for us. I know a lot of people who live in the worst hit areas and luckily they are all safe. Quoting: curiousgoods I was trying to find the stupid alert app while the radar loaded, funnel cloud went right over and hit north of me, not very far either. I went to the store opposite side of town from tornado damage couple hours ago, there were a lot of limbs down, a street closed because of a line down. I didn't drive over to damaged area, considered a bike ride but decided against. |
