When something spookz a big ass tough dog, you better get a gun and stay in that house at night.

See, I know how the occult works and you being a skittish bible babbler makes it worse. The unknown knows your will and it makes game of that.

There are things of darkness, twilight creatures that roam the edge of reality watching, waiting for that moment when it can intrude and harm you or your dog.

It manifest in many forms but the form you fear most is the sixth sense form that goes unseen but is as real as real can be when it takes you from your reality that you've learned to trust and shows you its reality and how easy it is for it to reach out to you.

Don't fool yourself thinking you're stronger and have a god standing with you cause that's the very wish it's testing you for as it steps closer.

There is something in our world that can take your mind and twist reality where you will find yourself in a weird situation of time and space distortion and if your not powerful enough, may loose your way and become entangled there to never be seen again.

This can happen in the day or the night but the night is more frightening, for sure.

If your simply making this up, than fine. But if your revealing the truth of the situation, be very careful what you do or say to it. Animals know way more than any human will in an occult confrontation. Their fear should warn you of something horrible awaiting you in those woods.

Water in that area is how it travels so stay away if you wanna be safe. Leave it alone and it may show you one of its many forms some day or night as you look out the window.

Now that its getting late please set something up in terms of filming or audio recording out there ... keep this thread interesting!!

I dare you to go out there and film yourself asking who's there... bound to get some kind of response!

setting up a camera and sparking up a conversation seems more like an invitation than anything else

if i say anything in those woods, it will be to command whatever it is to leave my space. and i get the last word.

OP, I suggest you get those infra red spotlights to light up your back yard, and if it is like a bigfoot creature, try leaving some food out by that tree that looks like a man, and see if it is there the next day.

Bigfoot doesnt smell too good either, just so's you know which your dog may be sensing and that is why it is scared, though PA has had a lot of sightings and no problems so if it is a bigfoot, be happy as it will chase off any other predatory animals that might be out there.

Here is a link I found of sightings in PA - in case you might live near one of the hotspots....

Apparently Bradford PA is known for these types of sightings...

Salt, why did you buy there? For me, the spiritual vibes a place gives off are a criteria just as important as any other.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1112387

i didn't buy. only renting. i had my dad and other family view it before i moved out. no choice as i was 1500 miles away. its a temporary home until i can buy a small place for myself. i plan to stay a couple years or so.

Re: Ok, the woods behind my new house are really creepy at night. Even my dog is spooked out there and wants to go back inside.
Who knows what has happened there in the past.

Woods are creepy at night.

Spirits inhabit trees. During the day they are in the tree and at night they leave it. These are not spirits of the dead. They are spirits which have never lived as physical beings.

Perhaps they have witnessed things which have angered them.
This will sound weird but...

During the day, approach so e of the nearest trees to your property and place your hand on each one in turn.
When you are doing this, project positivity and caring for the tree. Also project you are uneasy at night and feel a little scared by them. Then water them or bury a spoonful of honey and oats.

You will no longer feel scared at night. Anything beyond them will be held back.

I had a similar problem. At night I could feel things staring through the window. I call them garden people.
I also added an area with everything they would like and now they do t bother me.

Are you like…

Happy there, Salt??

Do you think you'll ever be happy there if you aren't now??

Regardless, that other person mentioning putting salt around the property, I don't disagree with that.

But even beyond that, it seems like there are a lot of elements at play here. I think in time you will come to realize what it is. I think it is about 80% non-human.
 Quoting: Mister Obvious

the house is sweet, charming. i am extremely happy to be home. i have my extremely large family here in the area. its been great reconnecting with everyone. sempre famiglia!
i think ive been thru too much and have been alone too long. i mean, not alone alone. but single and holding down the household alone too long. maybe i'm tired. maybe i've had to be too strong too long. maybe i'm afraid to be content. i dunno. it could be those things. or it could be what it is, creepy vibes from creepy woods. not sure.

what do you mean by 80% non-human?
 Quoting: Salt

I loved my house next to the Pisgah National Forest, lived there for 25 years. Even after all those years I was still spooked at night. Too many odd things happened, not saying yours is the same thing or going to be.

I was not the only one to witness the oddities at night.
Maybe have family or friends over, see how they feel about the woods.

I would place 4 bowls of offering to these spirits/beings/anima. They would be 1) water 2) grapes 3) beef bone 4) opened can of tuna.

Go back during the day and whatever is eaten or carried off will answer your questions. Raccoons are the ones who will eat the food and wash their hands, deer are the ones who will eat the fruit, dogs will carry off the bone and cats will eat the tuna.

1. Your dog is spooked because of the new environment, smells, sounds. he is nervous no matter what his size. It is normal.

2. The smells that spook him come at night as the wind shifts do to nocturnal cooling of certain areas that cause smells to move thru differently at different times.
---------
If you think its something wild, set out bait, near the wood line.
If you think its something paranormal, get a local dog to sit outside from a near by neighbor.

If that dog goes nuts, you may have an issue.

Where are you located? Have you checked into anything about the area, the history? It's possible there could have been battles in the woods, or even something unknown relating to indians. Our house isn't haunted but I've had a (very few) things happen, and one time I did try to record EVPs and I swear I heard indian drums. My mother swears she heard them once when she was outside smoking at 2 AM, and at one point I found out the guy who built our house traded with the indians. Thankfully no evil or scary feelings though.

That's what I said a few pages back.
Wafting smells at night.
Unfamiliar smells.
Dog from rural Colorado is not going to understand the radically different smells and atmosphere of a PA city/woods.

The upset feeling is just that. An upset feeling.

Now, if that dog runs hightail outta there after say, a few weeks of sniffing and getting used to the area, then I agree with the above poster.. you have an issue.

I always 'listen' to my dog, esp. the last one that I had for 15 years. RIP Karmael. He was NEVER wrong. The one I have now - not so much. The dog I have now is a little strange. She's little and tried to chase a possum and another time a raccoon that was bigger than her. *

Anyway, in my total experience with my dogs, I can't think of one thing they were seemingly afraid of or ran from.

Maybe it's like someone else said, just a change in environment for the doggie.

Sounds like a Bigfoot to me. More common than people think, all over the country. He probably won't bother you, but I wouldn't go out there after dark. Not much point in tempting the devil. Let him be, he'll let you be. You might want to get a shot gun though just in case he decides to come up to the house out of curiousity. Be sure not to leave any garbage or edibles around, they're hungry more than anything.

Also...don't leave any food out...you don't want to encourage whatever it is, which might embolden it and make it come around looking for food. I think it's a Bigfoot, but even if it's just a cougar or coyote (which probably wouldn't scare the dog like that) it's just an animal taking care of itself and being hungry. don't start feeding it, you'll never get rid of it. don't want to encourage it to feel comfortable around people. You can also make noise at night - I always recommend Scottish bagpipes as that will scare off most things that aren't Scottish.

Bottom line....if the dog doesn't want to mess with it, you shouldn't either. Just let it be. Dogs have more sense than people.
