ISON will NOT return because its orbital eccentricity is greater than 1.

This means it will be ejected from the solar system.

You can determine the orbit by observing the comet over a few nights. With the direction of travel and speed you can determine the 6 orbital elements. These tell you everything about the comet and where it will be at any given point in time. -- of course orbits change over time due to effects of planets gravity and other things, but to the OP's question, its not 333 year orbit or 313. its a 1 time comet that will never be back.

i know people like to debate a lot of things on GLP, but math should not be one of those things.

if the conclusion is ISON is traveling so fast it will be ejected on a hyperbolic orbit, then ISON is not from the ort cloud, but elsewhere in interstella space

And then you have Nostradamus, who wrote that the great star will burn for seven days and a cloud will cause two suns to appear and that the Mastiff will howl all night, and the Pontiff will flee to another country. Now, if we take Nostradamus literally, and if ISON is what he saw, then it will begin to burn brightly on or around November 28th, and continue to burn through Wednesday, December 4th or Thursday, December 5th.

Maybe it'll expand like Comet Holmes? If that happens, it'll be bright and big enough to be seen in the daytime for sure.
