If you took the sats in the early eighties, you scored higher than a kid with the sale score in the late eighties. Somewhere in there they dumbed down the sats.

Gifted education is a joke. Americans are very reluctant to find programs or even offer real support to those they perceive as already more advantaged. Even the word "gifted" shows a bias. A gift is a benefit you have not earned. Why help the "gifted"? (because they are just our smart kids, not unfairly advantaged kids, and because we have to import brains from china and india if we want doctors and engineers). Oh, arent all our children uniquely gifted? Yeah, maybe, but lets try to educate the smart ones at least as well as third world kids, huh?

Americans think paying taxes for a especial program for a kid smarter than their kid is undemocratic. So to get Americans to maybe find their own public schools they have to tell each and every parent their child is at the top of the heap.

This makes me too mad to be coherent. Sorry. Im just glad I got mine raised. We cant all be unique because thats an oxymoran. Half of us are below average. It will always be that way.

We did to education what castro did to wealth. Castro improved the situation of the poor then made everybody poor. We decided to improve the education of the retarded and now we are all retarded. The fundamental problem Is Americans wont pay to éducate some bright kid competing with their average darling. Thats how we get dumbed down.

Smart kids should get thru the regular curriculum faster and on to college material. They have high IQ. Their mental age is greater than their physical age. They are ready for college material young.

Not a lot of other stuff meant to waste their time and keep them busy.

If they're good at math, they should be doing the standard math training. Mathematicians have decided what proper math training is. It's called the undergrad math major curriculum. These kids should be doing that not something else.

Same for other fields.

Some school systems pushing the International Baccalaureate program on their above average kids. All that does is pack smart kids heads full of useless shit they don't need. Common core and IB are both complete NWO, brainwash, screw up your kids bullshit.

Seriously, how is it anti white? Our CC aligned tests were harder than the ones they replaced, but they were fair tests.

#1 The US education system is woefully outdated. Most of the classes students must take in high school are inadequate for the world economical/political systems.

#2 For almost ANY standardized test, all you need to be able to do is READ and THINK! They aren't really that hard IF you know how they're written and scored.

As a high school teacher in an urban school, I can tell you that today's average students absolutely hate to think. They want everything spoon fed and explained to them like they were babies.

There are exceptions to every rule. There are students that no teacher can stop. But they are few and far between.

Most students are already mass consumers with no independent thought processes.

You had kids, you pay for them, you hire a private tutor and give them a worthwhile education. Free the teachers themselves to teach to their own level of compentency, and to succeed as their skills and supposed education is supposed to have prepared them to be able to do. Instead of robbing childern of life, teachers of their value, and ending up with a society of sheep.

what if someone was claiming that 'housing project mom's' didn't want common core cause it showed their kids couldn't learn in the normal traditional way? And they're using common core so all the white kids won't look so dumb?
