Remember last time they released one, BPEarthWach turned down the brightness and we got the pic of the 3 part nucleus that looked like a UFO with 2 long rod like wings. This one shows the same structure, only closer and from a different angle. Quoting: Intruth Ison's nucleus is perfect round and has two satellites. What does this mean? It means it has HUGE gravity. I have never seen any comets or asteroids had this round shape. Our (former) planet Pluto is not any close to near this perfect round shape. Also, there is no thick coma layers, not like any other comets. It looks more like a planet and will certainly survive after its perihelion. This means, when Ison is in retrograde orbit, this huge gravity will affect the earth crust and in the worst case will tear apart it into pieces. This means series of unprecendented massive earthquakes from mid December to early next year!!!! TIME FOR PANIC SEX IS NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Please translate for us barbarians. “The living being had no need of eyes because there was nothing outside of him to be seen; nor of ears because there was nothing to be heard; and there was no surrounding atmosphere to be breathed; nor would there have been any use of organs by the help of which he might receive his food or get rid of what he had already digested, since there was nothing which went from him or came into him: for there was nothing beside him. Of design he created thus; his own waste providing his own food, and all that he did or suffered taking place in and by himself. For the Creator conceived that a being which was self-sufficient would be far more excellent than one which lacked anything; and, as he had no need to take anything or defend himself against any one, the Creator did not think it necessary to bestow upon him hands: nor had he any need of feet, nor of the whole apparatus of walking; but the movement suited to his spherical form which was designed by him, being of all the seven that which is most appropriate to mind and intelligence; and he was made to move in the same manner and on the same spot, within his own limits revolving in a circle. All the other six motions were taken away from him, and he was made not to partake of their deviations. And as this circular movement required no feet, the universe was created without legs and without feet.” -Plato |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 7384957 United States 11/17/2013 08:15 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | nobody will know its new orbit and trajectory until it emerges from the far side, and even then there may not even be time enough... Nonsense...here's the facts, Bub- When Comet ISON reaches its closest approach to us, on December 26th, 2013, it's going to be over 63 million kilometres away, both above us and ahead of us in our orbit at that time. By the time Earth reaches the point where we're passing through the plane of ISON's orbit, on January 16th, 2014, the comet will be roughly halfway between the orbits of Earth and Mars. So, there's no way that Comet ISON is going to be a danger to us, here on Earth. More plus video here: [link to ca.news.yahoo.com] December's ISON viewing guide: [link to waitingforison.wordpress.com] Hold on a sec... Is there a CME directed at ISON right now? Someone in another thread was arguing about how CME's weren't affecting ISON as it has already been hit by 10 or so. So if ISON keeps getting hit by CME's, wouldn't that suggest it is interacting with the sun in some way, directing CME's toward it? Now, after ISON passes around the sun and some time before it passes in front of earth, won't ISON generally be between sun and earth? That would put us in the line of fire for CME's. Am I missing something here? That would appear to me to be the danger ISON poses to earth. If its true that ISON has been hit by several CME's in its short interlude into our system, it would appear the sun is taking pot shots at the comet. And it looks like there have been a few pretty big ones of late. Just my observation. |

This is what can be observed from the comet ISON, the dust that is heavier, remains behind with respect to the nucleus and form, often, a kinked tail which is maintained on the orbit of comet. While the gas that is more sensitive to the solar wind, forming a tail straight in the direction opposite to the Sun, along the lines of the magnetic field rather than the local orbital trajectories. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 16981841 Canada 11/17/2013 08:34 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | ... Quoting: Anu, father of Enki Really, then why did it break apart? Seems to me causality has to come into play. Also since there are reports that one of the parts is slowing some external force is clearly at work. I am not say this means doom. I am only pointing out the obvious. Just because there is no external force doesn't mean internal forces aren't at play, two systems here. The center of mass will remain constant in the event ISON breaks itself apart, that is until each piece is then subject to the massive pull of the sun which will then completely change each segments trajectory. If ISON, or any comet, broke apart on its own and had no sun or planet to be gravitationally inclined towards then it's segments would forever drift away from each other but the center of mass would remain constant. If you have a 2Kg object break in half and its pieces fly off in opposing directions, and 1Kg reaches 100Km away from the other 1Kg then the center of mass for that system is at the 50Km mark in BETWEEN them; center of mass is no where near any of the pieces but where the WHOLE object WOULD have been. To put it plainly, your wrong ac. No, sir, I'm certain he is quite correct. The pieces will follow the same orbital path not 'fly off in opposing directions'. [link to www.youtube.com] You are correct hugh - straight line. the other poster with his analogy does not have ghis 2kg object flying through space at unbelievable speeds, being pulled by the gravity of the sun. If ison had dynamite at its heart and it blew in a massive fireball of power, it still wouldnt move anywahere but the path it is already on! You guys clearly don't seem to understand the mechanics behind trajectories. Anyways, What if it were to break after perihelion? It has nearly 100 million miles to travel before it would reach earth and any sort of internal explosion would cause segments to drift apart, plain and simple! Even if a small percentage of the comet were to break off after perihelion and only deviate by even 10-20° there is a GOOD chance it would hit earth seeing as the comet is already poised to come within 40 million miles of earth AND it has nearly 100 million miles of travel time to deviate. How can you fucking tards NOT see this? |
