Look, I am not dumb, I know there are federal officers reading this thread right now. It is easy for you to fall into a us vs them with civilians.

However these videos are becoming more and more popular because the puplic has become less trusting. At the same time your jobs have become harder. This leads to confrontation.


If you take a longer term view. You probably went into your job to help people. It is hard to police a population that has ever decreasing approval ratings of law enforcement.


The long term solution is recreating trust with the public. This is a win win for both police and civilians alike. It allows the cops to go after the real bad guys and the civilians to not be affraid to come to you guys. This can only be achieved by taking an attude towards the public that does not seem so increasingly military like.

I hope the feds read this because I do not like the tension with law enforcement and the public to be as high as it is and you guys dont either.

You need to focus more on the psycological battle with the public and that needs to be spearheaded by promoting good conduct within the ranks.

I'm proud to say that I am 9-0 (pro se) against the State of Hawaii for both criminal charges and civil traffic infractions. Now I enjoy freedoms unmolested as MPD no longer bothers me or my family. Now if they suspect me of breaking a traffic code/statute, they pull behind me, run my plates (I assume) then pass by giving me dirty looks. They have realized that it's way too costly to invite me to court to have their asses handed to them in front of all the others waiting to be extorted. My last two invites, the DA declined to prosecute the charges. BTW, the criminal charges were fabricated by the MPD in order to keep me from filming their interactions with the public. I was arrested for filming the police. I was charged with disorderly conduct but not by a member of the public. MPD initiated the charge so I was unlawfully arrested.

What a much better country we would live in if folks would stand up to the racket we currently have (like this gentleman did here in this video). More and more, everyday, the People are becoming better informed and standing up for their rights. The system is freaked out by this as it has used the police state to pay for its failed policies and the People are learning to "legally" rebel against its extortion.

We need videos like these to go viral in order to inform the public that we can beat city hall.

Kudos to this gentleman! Kudos the the officers for not escalating the incident as well!!!

He couldn't have been holding the gun, if he had been he could have been detained, you can't brandish a weapon, he was obviously just open carrying which people do all over the country.

That's what he should have gotten anyway, or a smackdown, for talking back to a cop. Cops don't like smartasses who think they know there "rights."

Be polite, be respectful, and if you have a problem with a cop, work it out in the courtroom.

It is clear that people can govern themselves and be gracious to the public and its servants. My respect goes to the man playing the role of Police / Peace officer and the man. They both demonstrate what can be everyday.

The guy should have removed the officers gun for his own protection... I mean yea its legal for the the cop to have it, but its legal for the guy as well...

Really he would have been clubbed, beaten, tazed, shot and framed for all sorts of crimes had he even suggested taking the officers weapon.


Also, had he not had that camera, it would have gone poorly too... when he refused to give his name that cop would have arrested him for disorderly, and bad shit would have happened.

My feelings here are simple, if you have that big a problem with open carry... move someplace that doesnt allow it. If that isnt an option, lobby for a change in the law. If neither of these works for you, tough shit...

I gotta admit, that was a pretty good rebuttal....Some people don't understand what freedom is really about. That being the ability to travel and do you affairs regardless of whiny cop narc wannabe's with a cell phone playing their version of amateur cop.

I was at a flea market a few months back. I like lemonade. There was a young man and his wife and what looked like a toddler who had set up a lemonade stand. I walk, up along with this elderly lady, she, was next after me in line....I ordered my drinks and was noticing the vendor guy had a belt holstered 9mm (I think) semiauto pistol on his hip...no big deal....Yea, it was a big deal. The old woman saw his gun and started to grunt an hyperventilate in awe of this holstered, yet unidentified pistol........so I took my lemonade and then leaned over and told the guy that the old woman, I pointed her out, in a panic, probably to call the police, that she wigged out over you exercising your legal rights....

I don't know what happened, but people who call in those kinds of reports of non-crimes are the real perps in these instances.

got pulled over the other night for nothing .. When the cop started asking questions I threw my phone up on the dash camcorder on, told him to call a female officer and take 5 steps back because I felt I was being threatened, he said no need for that and he let me go?!

Agreed. This officer draws a paycheck undoubtedly from the incorporated city of his employment. Go easy on people who do not understand this. They actually think the those cops work for the people, and it's engrained....but don't shock them into the truth, in fact, most cops are ignorant of the law system they "volunteered" into.... So, please don't make the mistake of dumping onto them full scale....educate the fools...don't turn them into chimpanzees that want to come after you...

That's because people watch to much TV and on TV guns are always illegal. Then there's the fact that we keep letting anyone into our country and they come from places that you can open carry, or even have the gun at home.
