True Lab! The one with its head stuck in the cheese puffs jar and eating its way out.

We've had three Labbies, two chocolate females and one yellow male. All unique in personality.

Shedding...Spring is heavy duty shed, especially if they have both a downy undercoat and topcoat. They need a daily light brushing and weekly deep brushing. Expect to be "detufting" as fluffy clumps come loosened.

Fall is lighter shed, as the finer Summer coat changes into a Winter coat. They need daily brushings to encourage the Winter coat to come in properly and not get matted down.

Some Labbies never get the downy undercoat. Possibly due to selective breeding & genetics for upland game hunting rather than water fowl.

Our current Lab only has the water repellant topcoat. She does need daily brushings although can go about a week between. Problem is she gets a little "doggie". Their coats have a protective oiliness.

Labs are HIGH maintenance when it comes to activity levels. They are hunting dogs after all. That's why you'll see so many Labs as "give ups". It isn't until very later years they'll be couch potatoes. If then.

They're also garbage scows. Labbies and food are like peanut butter and chocolate LoL. They also tend to, let's politely say, corpulence. Hip dysplaysia is not uncommon...I think due to owners overfeeding from a young age.

They're also perpetual goofballs with deadly tails, clumsy paws, slobbering jowls, lolling tongues, and enormous hearts.

Thanks for sharing such a fun vid. And HooRaha for Labbies!
