It used to be a pleasure to travel to and from. Sigh. Quoting: Taz <- lives here I have never flown into/out of Syracuse, but what I am reading in other articles, and what you say, the airport is small. I can't imagine these doors in larger airports when you have 100 people exiting the secure area at the same time every few minutes. It's not going to work if they have to stand in line and go through these doors individually. Also, from what I'm reading, these doors were designed by someone in the TSA. Figures. doomsucker (OP) User ID: 29333438 United States 11/19/2013 11:27 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Pompey Pompey the Great - Pompeius Magnus Pompey was one of the main Roman leaders during the exciting final decades of the Roman Republic. He made a political alliance with Julius Caesar, married his daughter, and then fought against him. A capable military leader, Pompey earned the title of "the Great." Along with Crassus and Julius Caesar, Pompey formed what is known as the first triumvirate, which became the dominating force in Roman politics. The liaisons between the men were personal, tenuous, and short-lived. Crassus was not happy that Pompey had taken credit for overcoming the Spartacans, but with Caesar mediating, he agreed to the arrangement for political ends. When Pompey's wife (Caesar's daughter) died, one of the main links broke. Crassus, a less capable military leader than the other two, was killed in military action in Parthia. |

In looking around I found similarity's the namesake of this Company and the past. Plutarch on Pompey and the Pirates The power of the pirates first commenced in Cilicia, having in truth but a precarious and obscure beginning, but gained life and boldness afterwards in the wars of Mithridates, where they hired themselves out, and took employment in the king's service. Afterwards, whilst the Romans were embroiled in their civil wars, being engaged against one another even before the very gates of Rome, the seas lay waste and unguarded, and by degrees enticed and drew them on not only to seize upon and spoil the merchants and ships upon the seas, but also to lay waste the islands and seaport towns. Strange correlation, but correlations just the same. Weirder by the minute Last Edited by A Mery Can on 11/19/2013 11:35 AM |
