I need some help to find out if a company is legit or not
How do search a company for business reveiws, I've googled everything I can think of and I'm getting no where so fast.

Looking into this company because I'm interested in a fireplace they show on their website. I even searched the BBB with no luck. Their company is in Quebec, Canada.

Please help with suggestions in searching if you get a second.

Thanks!

Call the nearest fireplace showroom to see what they know. Any design center might know too. hf

Cool 1970's fireplaces. I would contact whomever is in charge of business licensing in his AO and see if it's legit.

They also might be able to give you some advice.

I did a quick search and read a comment that they are not EPA approved, so can't be sold in the U.S.? If true, you may have trouble finding reviews/comments from the U.S., which would explain some of the difficulty in finding reviews (my initial search turned up very little).

Did you read the don-bar inserts thread/reviews on hearth dot com?

I actually did find that and read it, I was looking for CSA approved since I'm in Canada, but I can't find that info either which is surprising since they're supposedly a Canadian company.

Just found this info that might help me, get their tax ID which every company has to have for verification. Thanks.

Re: I need some help to find out if a company is legit or not
I'm interested in one of their 9000 (9000-3 or 9000-7) series that is multi-view and can heat 2 rooms if I center it in the middle. Can't find anything like that anywhere else.

I did find one in California at a company called Malm Fireplace Inc. in Santa Rosa that would have worked for me, but our local gas inspector said it wasn't CSA approved and that company had excellent reviews online. Total BS I'm going through trying to find a 4 sided free standing gas fireplace. You can get them all over Europe, but not in North America easy.

Here's that Malm's website, wanted the white Carousel in black:
