Curious what people think would be the most appropriate way for them to introduce themselves without us freaking the f#@% out.

Best thing I can think is head toward the planet slowly enough that everyone sees this object that has been steadily moving towards us... then gradually get larger and larger in our sky until everyone must be aware of it... then land, or send scout craft of very peaceful robe wearing aliens that exude peace.

(shrugs) I don't know what do you think?
