But this scenario would only happen (if it does happen at all) AFTER a terrible calamity has happened on planet earth, where people have to start all over again and the government continues with the Elite. They control the foods AND everything else. Right now, WE have the power to ensure it doesn't end that way. Either we fight, or die trying.

Yes, but not as exteme as in The Hunger Games. In The Hunger Games, the Elite controls EVERYTHING. Especially FOODS. That's why you saw Katniss went hunting in the forest because food is scarce during post-apocalypse. I believe, there is a CHANCE for the world to end this way if we don't fight THEM now. And by fighting them, I mean not to be consumed by this superficial world we're living in, where materials are the gods we worship. The Elite lives the way they live by enslaving us, because WE ALLOW them to do so.
