If you have gmail on your phone and your computer is on its usual ip or has been logged into google also, its all real time easy shit from there. It would be a smart thing to do. |

I do it every once in a while. Talk about something you have never searched for. Go to your comp a few minutes later, and there it is, suggested by the mighty Goog. |

So if you type in C...O, it already knows you want cock. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 50490796 That wasn't a joke. Google knows everything you're interested in by tracking your surfing habits. You routinely talk about things you are interested in. It follows that now and again they are going to be absolutely right with their educated guess as to what you're thinking right now. If I knew you as well as google does I could do the same thing and guess right on a regular basis. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 44072217 United States 11/25/2013 11:23 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I've had this happen with my iphone. When speaking to my friend one day, I said a word that I never use. I forget what the word was. About an hour or so later I was texting somebody and the auto correct replaced a word that I had typed with that word that I used previously. Freaked me out!! |

Quoting: centrist77 It seems like sometimes you will be talking about a random thing you need to buy or talking about a project that requires you to perform internert research. Then when you login to Google it completes the seach in like two letters. The only problem is that the thing your searching for is not in even in the top 100 things commonly searched for with those intial letters typed, yet google suggests it right there, first on the list Spot on.! I have had this happen. |
Lole Ibn Plutoon User ID: 34128162 United States 11/25/2013 11:24 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | i noticed the other day that "windows sound recorder" was the top thing on my taskbar,... and i've never used it.. It has happened several times in the last few months. I'm wondering if there isn't some 'virus' or backdoor program accessing my "sound recorder" and listening to me talk..? anybody know of a way to check? i've run SpybotSD and Malwarebytes.. they turned up nothing. I've got Lightbeam and Ghostery on firefox.. What else can i do? Anonymous Coward User ID: 50502253 United States 11/25/2013 11:29 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Funny you should post this. We were having dinner at a friends house a couple of weekends ago and he was showing us his new "NutriBullet" blender. We talked about getting one for ourselves after the demonstration. The next day, I came to GLP and noticed the ads were for the NutriBullet. I asked my husband if he had done an online search for this to order one and he had not...neither had I. Maybe the Nutribullet ads were just a coincidence but then the following day, we went into a new fabric store in town just to look but we didn't buy anything. By that evening, the ads were for the fabric store chain we had been in. This is BEYOND creepy! I still don't know how they overheard our conversation in my friend's kitchen about his blender. Neither of us have "smart" phones...just your plain pre-paid phones for anonymity. Guessing they are not as anonymous as we thought. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 2620180 This is not a good thing. Its kind of like having a little child around with little ears, always listening. You have to watch what you say. But if we make this Child angry, the temper tantrum will be a bit more extreme then throwing a fit on the Floor. |

It has to be the phone or the computer with voice recognition. It would be a master marketing play by google, giving you the answers to shit before you finished asking. I thought they had a pilot app for some shit like that but never got into it. The could be running it across the board now. |

She was discussing pro/cons of each method and I said, "there are still rubbers" and got home and found Trojan ads. The Nutribullet had an RFID inside of it that interacted with the phone. Also, when you went to the fabric store it knew because of both in-store RFID and GPS with your phone. They don't actually have to "listen" to you to get this information, it is showing all over the place now. |
