Perhaps I'll be able to spot and photograph ISON, perhaps not. We haven't had clear skies for over six months now. Really a shame :( If any foreign minister begins to defend to the death a "peace conference," you can be sure his government has already placed its orders for new battleships and aeroplanes. |

Went last night to see the sunset, and there's the fucking clouds again. Clear as could be everywhere in the sky......except at the horizon. Starting to really piss me off. Justitiae soro Fides |

Went last night to see the sunset, and there's the fucking clouds again. Clear as could be everywhere in the sky......except at the horizon. Starting to really piss me off. I froze most of my body parts off scouting for Miss ISON, under a clear sky. I don't think she wants to reveal herself in all that beauty just yet. Then after a couple of hours the clouds rolled in and it started snowing. The weather service is giving our next clear sky window in another week. So no luck for me tonight sadly. Maybe someone else would have more fortune in scouting that comet out. If any foreign minister begins to defend to the death a "peace conference," you can be sure his government has already placed its orders for new battleships and aeroplanes. |

I think the OP has something here... I didn't write this story, but quibbled about it all my life. Now here we are... Died and rising from the dead. Who the hell could make this stuff up ???? |

Smashed~4~Dooom (OP) User ID: 51881820 Australia 12/30/2013 07:31 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Dear members, I tried imaging of the ephemeris of C/2012 S1 ISON at 11,000 feet above sea level. There looked to be some faint and vast elongated object near the direction on the frame showing some amount of IFN, integrated flux nebulae, though I can not confirm it the remnant of the comet. The object was faint as IFN. [link to www.flickr.com] I will image the ephemeris area again in the coming days, and I may be able to confirm it, if it moved as expected. The object looked vast and faint, and telephoto lens of focal length 150mm - 300mm may be suitable for imaging. Best Wishes, hiro Last Edited by Smashed~4~Dooom on 12/30/2013 08:14 AM Time to depart this earthly vehicle... :Comet Lovejoy: |
