Is the comet coincidence & the booms the only evidence you're providing as proof the line is 'ready to blow?' Not saying it isn't 'ready to blow,' but that is kind of inconclusive evidence...

No ...
It is the AU from the Sun @ perihelion and the increased EQ activity.

I vote on GLP in the hiz-house, but let's make sure we are mentally prepared. Ison is going to affect our world and the close pass could cause it to go off given what we have already seen happening in the past year.

A worry about all the nuke plants along the Mississippi river... A quake that large that would cause the ground to begin to liquify would cause the nuke plants along the river to sink.... bad news..

IMO, the BP Oil Spill was done with the specific purpose of destabilizing the sea floor in the Gulf that is adjacent to the mouth of the mighty Mississippi River in hopes that this would help to precipitate a new Great Quake in the New madras Seismic Zone (NMSZ).

Wonder if Walmart has considered the NM earthquake scenario in their continuation of operations plan? Bentonville would probably be rubble.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 40198765

Bentonville would be fine.
You need a map or geologic survey or both.
Cities near the mississippi's past or current sandy course
would be in trouble.
Like Memphis and St. Louis, maybe Little Rock.

Cities on hard rock like in NW Arkansas would barely feel
the effects.

I had a dream in 2011 that showed absolute destruction in the Great Lakes region , by what ? Who knows , how do we know the Madrid is going to strike ? Because it has before and history always repeats itself.....
 Quoting: Completely Humbled

I had the same dream ... in 2009. Was more like a vision. I was working on Google Maps and saw the Great Lakes open up and flood to the GoM.

A few months later I moved, behind the St. Francois Mountain Range ... [link to en.wikipedia.org (secure)]

I figured the precambrian geology would help protect against the quake.
Most of the region, however, has been mined heavily for lead and lots of little towns were built on top of the mines.
When the New Madrid decides to blow, there is going to be more loss of life than one can imagine ... verysad
 Quoting: Ozark Woman

I love that area..St. Francois...camping at the Shut Ins a lot since I was a shorty.hf
 Quoting: MuldersFox 49096500

I live about 10 miles from Johnston Shut-Ins: [link to en.wikipedia.org (secure)]

They were formed by the precambrian activity in the area.

One thing that is interesting to note is the fact that there is a hydro-dam sitting above the Shut-ins. A few years back, they had an accident and wiped out the Shut-ins.
This is one thing I am concerned about during the New Madrid.

Yeah..the Taum Sauk Res. that blew in December...my kids and I were standing right where it blew in August of that year...we have a photo of us. We usually do a lot of hiking and that year we drove up to the Res. We were the only ones there...it is a very eerie place, to say the least, looking across the Res. A few months later, BAM, everything was wiped out. Shut Ins haven't been the same since. I don't believe the Taum Sauk Res. will hold if the New Madrid gives. Anyone's guess where the water will go. The way it is constructed it is pretty much at the mercy of mother nature, for sure.

Because at the top decision making levels of all areas of money and power on this FALLEN world where Satan is temporarily ruling, he has taken control (through secret society subterfuge) and implements as many factors into our lives that will blind us to God and / or simply destroy us before we can find salvation---he's like that---a very dangerous animal that will do anything to avoid judgement and the lake of fire while taking as many of us to destruction as he can

Alternatively, you can bury your head in the sand, pretend that evolution works and dismiss those decisions as money-oriented---only trouble is that at the uppermost echelons of the elite, they have more money and wealth than they need and worship Satan...

Still have a little time before it goes. When it does it will be the game changer. The loss of lives will be in the millions, by tens. It will be nothing like the world has ever seen. Just a series of sequences that will erase America's existence forevermore.
But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith Yahweh, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their Elohim, and they shall be my people.

Why would Bentonville be rubble? It's on the other side of the state. Those shockwaves would have plenty of mountainous area to travel through before reaching Bentonville.

Hale–Bopp had its closest approach to Earth on March 22, 1997 at a distance of 1.315 AU.

Comet Ison will pass about 0.43 AU (64,000,000 km; 40,000,000 mi) from Earth on 26 December 2013.[14]

Very well done, good find and thank you.

I have been saying this was coming for a few years...I used to live in St. Louis area...last big one was 1967...moved a bit northeast but I am still in the danger zone should a massive one hit...and all of my family and friends will die in the St. Louis area...but they don't listen to a word I say...they think I am nutz. It is coming...I believe God, who is longsuffering and patient, is about to shake the world...His wrath will be unmistakeable. God have mercy on us and may He shorten the days of His children.

 Quoting: MuldersFox 49096500

I moved from CA, where I was in both the Northridge and the Bay Area quake.

A few years back we had a 5 point EQ just east of St. Louis in IL. I felt it 60 miles away and it was stronger than either of the quakes in CA.

Quakes are very much different and more violent in the midwest than they are on the coasts because of subduction.

In geology, subduction is the process that takes place at convergent boundaries by which one tectonic plate moves under another tectonic plate and sinks into the mantle as the plates converge. Regions where this process occurs are known as subduction zones. Rates of subduction are typically centimetres per year, with the average rate of convergence being approximately two to eight centimetres per year.[1]

Plates include both oceanic crust and continental crust. Stable subduction zones involve the oceanic lithosphere of one plate sliding beneath the continental lithosphere or oceanic lithosphere of another plate due to the higher density of the oceanic lithosphere. That is, the subducted lithosphere is always oceanic while the over-riding lithosphere may or may not be oceanic. Subduction zones are sites of high rates of volcanism, earthquakes, and mountain building.

By your logic, if a large earthquake happened at the same time a comet was visible back in December, 1811, then a large earthquake will happen in December, 2013 because there will be a large comet visible then. Therefore, by your logic, everything else that happened in December, 1811 will happen again in December, 2013. I know that's somehow 'logical" to you, but I can' follow.
 Quoting: troungshixam

And rightly so. Only fear mongering fools would follow this type of logic.
