If it was about sharing they wouldn't create the exclusion zone. This is total control by China and for reasons which are leading us towards a real war with them.

Even if war doesn't break out soon, US/Chinese relations have changed dramatically already. All those cheap Chinese goods which are all crap IMO could start rising, or the US will stop importing, trade embargos could go into effect. The Chinese already are looking to dump the US dollar and published their nuclear strategic strike map months prior; obviously they feel they have to go to war with the US.

To this point, a senior official in U.S. President Barack Obama's administration said Friday that commercial airlines are being told to abide by Beijing's call to notify it of plans to traverse the newly declared zone over the East China Sea, even if the U.S. government doesn't recognize it.

If Obama is backing down, perhaps China testing the US for weakness is working. We'll have to monitor what happens over the weekend to see if more fighters play cat and mouse over the new exclusion zone.

Geez, this worries me--on a personal level. I import lace and textile products for my business--things no longer made in the US. We can't have war--yet.

Will consider switching to Indian and European goods as well. Been saying for years the US is a giant prositute. Sold out for nothing. Crap crap crap.

This is what I think would stall war is the fact that everything is now made in China, so obviously it's not in the best interests to go down this road; yet China annexed hundreds of miles of area with their exclusion zone which in it's self is an act of war.

The US fly's 2 B-52 bombers in response and now Japan, China and the US are flying military craft in that new zone.

Very provocative and anything can ignite this into a real war, and really fast.

No matter what the outcome, China acted aggressively against Japan and is dragging the US into potential conflict with that move... if nothing happens and they gain control it's because everyone knows the end game being war is going to devastate the global economy and trade.

What China did is an act of war, or at least can be responded to with war as a result, very scary.

Who's the prostitute? Why weren't you already buying your goods from Europe? If you can't manage professional loyalty to your own country, you could at least retain some for the race that built it and continues to nurture the likes of you, even when you don't deserve it.

Any nation who knows how weak US leadership is at the moment may comsider brinkmanship a viable game to play.

China needs to assert it's sphere of influence in the Pacific and Obama has already been punked out once this year by an old rival.

So lets see...China is going to implode its economy along with the entire global trade system in a war to get control of a potential source of future energy.

Another possibility is that he doesn't intend to go down easy at the behest of the Saudi/OPEC interests who wouldn't want a comparable oil field tapped
