This little experiment isn't just in your neck of the woods.

Federal grant money was distributed to local and state police departments to provide manpower specifically to check for seat belt violations.

As always, this is nothing more than behavioral modification, and another way to boost revenue via vehicular code violations.

Myself, I was driving scared everyday, forgetting to put my seat belt on and seeing many local police over the weekend holiday.

100 dollar fine per violation.
