Hugh M Eye User ID: 49970192 United States 12/03/2013 10:26 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Here's what a "Healthy Comet" should look like on the STEREO HI-1 images- Comet McNaught movie (2007): [link to secchi.nrl.navy.mil] Comet PanSTARRS from March of this year: [link to www.stereo.rl.ac.uk] As far as the HI-1 image processing is concerned, I'm not an expert in image processing but as a GLP SOLAR-WATCHer I'm quite familiar with the basics. The STEREO HI-1 & HI-2 cameras are specially designed to image the faint billowing plasma of particles in the solar wind from Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs). This is why the planets are usually too bright and distorted from bleeding pixels. The more refined (processed) images used to make the movie previously posted of the dead comet-corpse ISON bring out even more subtle and faint details even while attenuating the image to reduce the over-saturated planet pixels. I'm not sure how it's done, I'm just telling what I've seen. Not fizzling out either judging by that perspective? Not only is it two days old, but you're not looking at the raw files. You make the same mistakes, over and over and over. In the raw files you can see that it's really just a dim, faint smudge. The JPGs that made up the movie you posted are extremely contrast enhanced and severely compress the dynamic range of the image to the point that even dim low contrast features can look very "bright." However, more nature processing of the image data from the 1st shows that it was quite dim: [link to imageshack.us] By the 2nd it is barely detectable at all in HI1: [link to imageshack.us] And now today in the latest image I see no trace of it at all: [link to imageshack.us] |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 51024777 Australia 12/03/2013 11:07 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | ISON will not hit Earth. ISON makes a 430,000 year elliptical orbit that sheds it's outer layers when it hits the outer most layer of the Sun. It then goes back into the deepest parts of our solar system and recollects a bunch of stuff, all to pass us again in 430,001 years from now. ISON's comet trail will give us a meteor shower but no piece of it would be a "city destroyer". Sorry folks. No doom here! MOVE ALONG! |

That's not brightening of a debris field. That is a definite "V" formation 2 days after it's "death". And, that CME that supposedly destroyed ISON certainly looks to have missed it completely. Before trying to debunk it, you really need to watch it. C'mon now - [link to youtu.be] This ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ |

They did it to get mainstream attention of the subject. Everyone i have spoken to who doesn't visit ct sites are of the belief it burned up, so it has worked very well. |

I have tried to have discussions on this subject several times and every time i disagree with astro i have coincidentally been ip banned. I do not swear, harass, put down and always try to be polite and articulate but it makes no difference. The only other reason i can see is the whole isp range has been blocked by another user from the same isp going on a rampage here, but it is very coincidental as it has never happened before until this subject and me disagreeing with astro's points of view. No i'm not going against policy and using proxy's or resetting ip's. I have the resources to use internet in many different places but am not getting more banned from glp over this subject. Keep your eyes and ears open people, ison lives. Ip ban in 3,2,1.... That was meant as a joke, and i hope i'm wrong. |

That seems like a pretty dense debris cloud, no? I'm not ringing the DoomBell here, I am very curious though. no it is not dense at all. as i said its appearance is exaggerated here. in the other cams f ison, you could see the background stars through the dust as mentioned not only by myself, but in reports about it from others. so we know it isnt too dense. not solid for sure. gggggggggggggggggggggggoooooooooo the fuck away!!!!!!!! who the hell are u to be on all threads all the time??? Hell, They're even doing it in a matter of days now, instead of over weeks & months. Comet ISON is THE Lazarus Comet. That's the thought edging out into first place in my mind. Also, we need to recall that the Gooberment, probably for Comet ISON, shut down the US Space Fence. If I'm off base here, it's that ISON is going to be used as the screen for a False Flag Operation, used to usher in Marshal Law(GLP-ism intentional), gun confiscation, Agenda 21 & who knows what else. Personally, I hope that it's an intact object, it comes in on the 16th & brings about ALL of the changes that EARTH so desperately needs & that, perhaps, we Humans will somehow benefit from this as well. We will have our answers soon, very soon indeed. I'm a proud Texan & American, posting from Central Texas & have no clue why my flag shows friggin Canada(no offense to my Canadian friends).
