HOLY SHIT!!! I read this entire article and cannot believe what I actually read. If they pulled this off it may be the single thing that saves this country.

The dark side of me wonders if this is their way to get rid of the 2nd Amendment though.....What if it's just a sham to get rid of Arms???

Im aware of its history! But as the old saying goes HISTORY REPEATS ITSELF! This is a wolf in sheep's clothing. Any atempt to change the constitution will only be to further tyranny and restrict freedom, think agenda 21!

I don't see that happening. If proposed at a convention, it would only take 13 states to put a stop to it. Even if by some progressive miracle, they managed to pull it off, I think that would very well lead to the 2nd American Revolution. I know other countries have been stripped of their firearms, but it was never written into their laws as a fundamental god given right that was not to be infringed. I think most realize it truly is the only thing that prevents a true dictatorship and tyranny. If they were to take it away, the people would have no reason not to fight. If they didn't, the country the founding fathers created would truly be lost forever.

Iwould like to think they wouldnt outlaw firearms but I dont trust anyone in gov.!

Don't screw with the Constitution. Enforce the laws we have and repeal what is in violation.

Is that not where we stand today? I mean seriously, do we not have an out of control government that has been stripping the people of rights guaranteed in the Constitution for years? Sitting back an attempting nothing will only guarantee the long slow demise of this country.

hello the constitution is what we have it defines powers of each level of gov! The present occupants ARE NOT FOLLOWING THE CONTITUTION! Therfore they must be ousted because of their violations. U can print any document up on a piece of paper, it doesnt mean it will be followed!

Last week, the President Pro Tempore of the Indiana State Senate David Long (R-Fort Wayne) joined an effort to explore convening a Constitutional convention pursuant to Article V of the Constitution.

Long joins legislators from Kansas, Ohio, Oklahoma and Wisconsin who have all signed a letter calling for every state to send a three-person bipartisan delegation to George Washington’s home in Mount Vernon, Virginia on December 7th.

You're right, they aren't following the Constitution. That's why the people need to hold them accountable and force them to comply to stricter standards. It would be impossible for them to ignore a term limits amendment. A balanced budget amendment that set clear penalties for failure would be amazing. Imagine if they failed to have a balanced budget and the penalty resulted in not only complete forfeiture of all pay and benefits, but also meant you were ineligible for re-election. Everything I've read on this current movement is geared towards restraining the federal government. We all know they aren't going to do it, so it's up to the people.

Governors of 35 states have already filed suit against the Federal Government for imposing unlawful burdens upon them. It only takes 38 (of the 50) States to convene a Constitutional Convention.
