I worked for SBC when VNC from BELL LABS was rolled out.

We used it to remote admin pc across the network and the users were (almost) non-the wiser. And this thing worked over dial-up...

The client machine (phone company employee) MIGHT have seen a slight delay in the response time of their PC.


Lately, I have been seeing the same type of latency.
