That article's got a political axe to grind, and has nothing whatsoever to do with the facts of this incident. It's hung it's hat on this incidence.

Facts say it ain't wolves, period, and had nothing to do with wolves. Nobody but that article is saying it was wolves, or implying that it was wolves...they don't know what happened. They do know that at least one of the women died from exposure/dehydration.

The gals were found in the lava-flows of Craters of the Moon...hardly wolf habitat.

Indeed: [link to www.idahostatesman.com] reiterates the harsh landscape, including the fact that the lava flows tore up the feet of the search dogs...it ain't wolf country!!

[link to www.idahostatesman.com] tells that Linkert died of exposure and dehydration--they id'ed her from her teeth...odd stuff....the dogs in the truck were left with a water-bowl, indicating the women didn't plan a long hike. It also indicates that they knew enough not to bring their dogs out for a romp thru the lava fields.

Now, one might wonder if that article is so much smoke to deflect thoughts away from real issues.
