Please take education seriously, and learn to read and write in a proper manner. Speak normally, without colorful metaphors and ethnic slang. Be calm in all situations, don't fly off the handle in anger to people/things where you believe you were treated unfairly right away. There may be something else causing these things other than "the white man".

Please dress well. Your fathers did. You should look back and think about what brings about respect. Do you think you would see MLK walking around with his pants hanging down revealing his underwear. He wore a suit and tie and his best redeeming quality was his public discipline to right any wrongs.

Don't talk LOUD so to call attention to yourself. Be kind to older people, be humble, be conscious that life is very short, and punching out old men and ladies is not a moral thing to do. Trying to gain attention like that, being appreciated by a gang, means you don't have enough confidence in your own ability to gain the respect of society by hard work. You depend on intimidation to get things that you don't deserve. You think society fears you and you can take what you want, but remember, society has ways of forcing you to comply. Prison is one, and being handed over to punishment is another. Think, your revolt is really a revolt of ignorance. You reject opportunities in the name of fitting in with a little circle of unsuccessful people in bad neighborhoods and the world for you is a very small place, maybe four blocks by six. You will never get out if you don't learn to behave and live with others in peace.

Finally, be kind. Don't advocate bad behavior. Do not steal, rob or assault because your selfish addictions must be accommodated. You brought it on yourselves. Get free of your addictions first, get right with society and your family. Turn back to a moral life and live in peace with your neighbor, helping them when they are in distress instead of laughing as they are beat to death by your so called brothers.
