Yes is is going to Texas for this reason:

If he can win a national championship, he will be the only coach to have done that at 3 schools.

He probably can win because Texas has a lot of cash and large boosters, good recruiting, etc.

There is nothing greater than the Great State of Texas....but, when it comes to Texas Longhorn graduates....my blood just boils.
Texans are arrogant Texans; but you would be too if you were correct all the damn time!

Ok people money talks and you all know this. Texas will give him 10 mil a year. Plus it's one of the top 3 coaching jobs in the country and Alabama is not one of them. One more thing if he was staying he would have put these rumors to bed. Mark my words he is going.

Coming from a former fan of a team he fucked over...let me tell you something you havent experienced yet.

Nick Saben is a liar and opportunist who looks out for himself only. Whatever comes out of his mouth, take with a grain of salt.
 Quoting: OptimusPrime

Oh yeah, he's a hired gun. He has no loyalty to anyone. I think most Bama fans who know anything about the program, realize that. I'm glad he's done what he's done for our program and would hate for him to leave, but, I won't be shocked either.
 Quoting: Big Daddy D 48865774

What he said. ^^^

I've never trusted Saban, but it's a different era in college football, and if he goes, he goes. I see Texas as a lateral move, at best, for him, because whatever they're paying him, Alabama can match, and Alabama is, historically, the better job, but hey, he got us three national championships and I won't begrudge the man leaving. Alabama will be fine. Mike Dubose won an SEC championship and beat Spurrier twice in one year and Mike Shula had a 10 win season under probation, for goodness sake. Anybody can win at Bama and we've got at least $5m a year that says we'll find someone better than Dubose or Shula this time.
 Quoting: Revbo™

Agree. I've never been a big St. Nick fan. He's OK but we'll still be the best no matter who coaches. I do hold him personally responsible for blowing our chance at a first ever 3-Pete. But then he's to one who got us there in the first place, so whatever.

Rumor has it they are offering him $7 M. If he wants to stay and takes it, fine. If not, still fine. We will just find someone who does want it.

And we will always win a National Championship at least every few years because we grow our own players for the most part.

One of the most important aspects of conspiracy theories is being able to discern when there isn't one.

Oh yeah, like you'd understand anyway.

Alabama is listed as #7 so I don't think there is going to be enough difference in that regard to matter.

Dont get me started on McCarron. I loved how all the Alabama fans were soooo certain he was getting the Heisman.
 Quoting: OptimusPrime

Bama fan here. I never thought McCarron was Heisman material this year. Most Bama fans I know feel the same way.

(Did you know that if you try to put the initials A and J in a reply you get a ban warning? WTF?)
