My poor people statememt is for anyone thats woken up to a negative bank account because of some fucktard. Be that a company or goverment agency. I've had it happen and its sickening. Thats all.

I will not sign up. And a lot of my pay being home health, and max exemptions at my other jobs, I don't give the goverment a 11 month loan and wait for my rebate. I will NOT comply.

I really wish the vocabulary of this issue was not so screwed up, and that people could see the mind control aspect of calling "medical insurance" "healthcare".

Arranging for your doctor bills to be paid through medical insurance is not the same thing as taking care of your health.

The reason the meaning of the words were changed is because now that "medical insurance" is called "health care" it's harder to defend your position on the issue - right away the response is "how can you be against health? how can you be against people caring for their health?" when really you're against people being forced to participate in an insurance scam that may or may not pay for medical doctor bills.

I wish we on GLP could call it "medical insurance" the way it used to be called instead of the newspeak "healthcare".

No shit, think how healthy you could be if you spent 800 a month on your health, instead of paying for insurance!

You could have fresh fruit and vegetable juice with every meal, you could get a massage, you could go to the acupuncturist, you could take a mini vacation, you could have all the vitamins, minerals, supplements and herbs anyone could ever want, you could hire a life coach, you could work part time for chrissake.

You could afford to stay home with your kids. You could join the best health club in town and have a personal trainer.

All of the above!

We have an acquaintance who is a solid Democrat voter and such a supporter of Obamacare that she wrote to the local paper, telling everybody how easy it was to apply through Washington state's health exchange website.

At that time, Washington had one of the few working exchange websites.

We cringed a little at that letter, and even wondered why she was signing up, as she is over 65.

I really try to not wish misfortune on others, even if they deserve it, in my opinion.

I really try very hard to repress a delighted hope that her bank account is one of the screw-ups.

But deep down in my heart, I hope she is one who got stung.
