Get high efficiency incandescent.

Same light quality as regular incandescent.

No CFL bullshit.

A 40 watt high efficiency incandescent puts out the same light as a 100 watt regular incandescent.


It isn't being phased out. Cost about $1.50/bulb.

I wonder about that too.

When you first turn on a CFL it draws more power than a incandescent for the first 30 seconds.

So if you have them in places where you don't leave the light on for a few minutes at a time then you are actually increasing your electric bill.


A hallway in a house is a prime example of this.
