Anonymous Coward User ID: 43612450 United States 12/15/2013 05:48 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | They tried twice I think but failed both times. No way the hypocrite environmentalists would strike it down. They are unsafe, hence, the reason they want them in our homes. What is really driving this law? CFL manufacturers? LED manufacturers? They don't really believe it is a CO2 / save electricity thing, do they? I wonder about that too. When you first turn on a CFL it draws more power than a incandescent for the first 30 seconds. So if you have them in places where you don't leave the light on for a few minutes at a time then you are actually increasing your electric bill. A hallway in a house is a prime example of this. |
