Train Transporting MASSIVE Amount Of Military Vehicles - Salem, Oregon
The part of this video that strikes me as odd is the amount of these that have the Red Cross emblem on them. The video was said to be shot in Salem Oregon, where there are supposedly no military installations. Mods...please PIN for more information. This is really a bit spooky.

As a Movement NCOIC for Many Major Deployments and Training Exercises, I can state as fact: These vehicles are being deployed CONUS, and are headed to Staging area's.

Proof:

1. No Hazmat & MSDS documents mounted on the side for FireMen to see incase of a Train Derailment.

2. Vehicles and configured with Turrets and Gun Mounts

To start, I do not have video or pics, my husband just texted me to tell me he saw a train move through Abilene with what looked like a hundred military vehicles. What's up?

There are military installations in Salem.

One at the airport, one at the national guard base.

Probably more.

There are military vehicles on the roads every now and then as well.

Nothing new.

The people who always comment that it is no big deal remind me of how the Germans used to keep dismissing sign after sign that things were going seriously wrong…

German resident 1: I have seen a lot of tanks and armored weapons, as well as soldiers.

German resident 2 - It is nothing. probably just an exercise

german resident 1 - What happened to all our neighbors from the next community? There houses are empty and there are massive tanks and soldiers there

German resident 2 - It is just an exercise. You sound paranoid

German resident 1 - Well there is a tank outside our house right now and soldiers are screaming for us to come out. Holy shit, they just shot the man across the street.

G/R 2 - He did not comply with their orders, what did you expect them to do

G/R 1 - should we go outside?

G/R 2 - Cocks gun and kills G/R 1 (No need, I knew you were trouble and have been keeping an eye on you)

G/R 2 to troops - Ok, let's move to the next town. Remember - First call them crazy, then say it's a drill, then point them out and we will take care of them...

Military trains are not new, I remember seeing them as a kid 30 years ago. No, I do not see this as strange at all. Its an effective way to move equipment from one point to another. I saw a lot of Styker AFVs and M1117s. For what its worth the Department of Defense have a really large fleet of rail cars all you have to do is look for the DODX reporting markings. If they have them, might has well use them.

a lot of police departments have not received their tanks yet. the only way to deliver them is by rail and truck. don't worry the government is your friend and is here to help you.

Re: Train Transporting MASSIVE Amount Of Military Vehicles - Salem, Oregon
Salem has a small NG area off Mission Street, but this was not headed there (it couldn't handle that volume of equipment). We have about 6 PAV-hawks on the tarmack at the local airport.

This transport was leaving the Ft. Lewis-McChord base up in Washington and headed somewhere into California. Not sure why, except that maybe it is easier on the equipment to be out of the cold winters.
