The date makes sense because it falls on the winter solstice which has a great esoteric significance (for example the obelisks are designed to be collinear with the sun on solstices) truly marking the end of the year with the calendaristic end of the year being pushed for the same reason why we don't have 13 28-day (the duration of a moon phase) months, to confuse the masses. I agree with the year 2014 just based on my interpretations of the signs of time.
