Boxing day tsunami?

Geez, short memories here.

Is it better to go to sea, or wait for the sea to come to you?

* Have sail boat, max hull speed approximately 6 knots. Takes about and hour to get to boat, prep-boat, and another hour to get through inlet.
* Have car, it takes hours, approximately 12, to get off the peninsula and north to potential safe region.
* Heard aircraft buzzing the house about an hour ago. Could be in mockery. Could be to harass me as a T.I. victimized in a massive conspiracy which MAY expose one of the largest human trafficking networks on US soil.

If it shall travel this way, iS it worth ridding the massive tsunami at sea or in land?

I would get in the boat on the roof. Ay least you'd have a chance of getting tossed upright. I watched that Japanese tsunami live on television and I will never forget the cars trying to drive away and getting rapidly overtaken. SO MANY.

You have a sailboat but no bugout plan. In the event of tsunami being on water anywhere is a crapshoot, high ground is preferable wouldn't you think. Do you have bugout bags and water at ready?
