I've considered that because the people down here don't seem to like the land up there. So, since the people down here have questionable perspectives, then maybe the far north is actually a wonderland?

OP, where ever you go, there you are. You will need to deal with people everywhere that will be below par. It's not a place, it's a perspective...yours. and how you deal with it and people. I've moved more times than you can count trying to find that place and it's not here on earth. Good luck in your search & journey!
