I think we need to get rid of welfare in america

I agree with that sentiment. People need help. That's understandable. People should have to serve the community to benefit from it. I mean just handing it to them simply perpetuates the myth of victimization and inadequacy and continues to spiral downward from there.

America should also stop giving so much money to rich people in other countries as well.

Also, continuing to fund the military industrial complex and other government sponsored programs the way we do has led to a lot of corruption as well.

Of course ending all of this would put a crimp in the Fed's plan to make the world reliant on the US gov... the new father Christmas...

Its been out of our (people's) control for awhile now. Hopefully reaching out to enough people who are willing to act on this message in the political arena could bring some change. Otherwise and even then its a pretty much up hill battle. No one ever said life was supposed to be easy.

One thing that I think we can all agree on is that one way or the other we're reaching a point in which our system will become obsolete and need replacing. The question is what will replace it, will it be better or worse?

Here's what we need to get rid of:

1. Military Foreign Aid (Welfare)

2. Corporate Bail Outs (Welfare)

3. And close the borders to Illegals and deport those Illegals who reside here.

Then and only then can we deal with true Welfare problems involving our citizens.

Illegals men work for cash. Their baby mommas have anchor babies so they get a full ride, everything is free. The Illegal guy works for all the fun stuff: cerveza, eat out tacos, crappy car. They are happy.

If we do - then there needs to be jobs that pay as well. This means US will have to be serious about protecting it's citizens from outsourcing, illegal labor and protecting intellectual property from being used by foreign companies. It's real work that we tax payers pay for and it's a crime that we don't get these services from our government.

That can be taken care of by having all currently on disability and applicants report to a military facility, closest National Guard Armory if that's what it takes, for a formal review of their claim. No kick back docs. or sleazy lawyers who live off of disability claim just military Dr.s, physical therapists and so on.
Don't pass, your cut off before your out the door, claiming full disability when you could do something - benefits reduced to your disability %. This approach is for the so called 'walking wounded' not obvious cases like those who have considerable M.R and D.D. problems, bed ridden and so on.
An appeals process can be set up w/ a civilian Dr. stating your case for you. This can be done so it is just enough effort on the docs part that they wont be doing this for just anyone that asks. Not doing so when they believe a mistake has been made and latter proven to be the case could result in some form of penalty.
Those caught scamming the system can be dealt w/ by using laws already on the books. I see no reason for the abuse of a system meant to exhibit social compassion unless it is being used for something else like hiding the true state of our economy by issuing disability after unemployment runs out.
I spent years working for a rehab company that took care of several hundred people w/ a variety of disabilities, some profound (veg. state, quads, serious mental disorders (12 yr. old w/ brain of an infant actually it was just weird blobs attached to a brain stem). The majority though had a degree of function from moderate to high and guess what those people did 5 day's a week - they had jobs.
I took advantage of all the classes and certs. available which were a lot and ended up in the vocational dept. (and yes fucked up people could set something like this up for the purpose of screwing over the clients but this was very above board) The clients loved it as it put cash in their pocket and it helped the larger cause. The high function ones were into it as they were usually PTSDed vets who after getting on good ground had boredom to fight, Give them some work, a sense of accomplishment and contributing. Drug and booze issues were minimal.
So not only have I seen and worked in a functioning system to help disabled people work and feel better about their life, I'm put together w/ bone grafts, metal, have extensive nerve damage and get around this world in a very cool Formula 1 engineer designed wheel chair. Oh yeah I take nothing by way of a disability from any of your paychecks as I work and have been known to do so 70 to 90 hrs. a week for many weeks running.
Faking a disability? I have some friends that would like to meet you, they may be crippled but they surely are not lazy.

considering that 90% of welfare is paid out to blacks - do you really want a bunch of angry, probably armed as soon as they can steal a gun, starving blacks looking for someone to rob? That would be a sure fire way to a race war if there were not something to take the place of welfare.

We have, in the US, families who have been on welfare and public assistance of one kind or another for as long as six generations now. Having more babies gets these women higher monthly payments and more benefits. Usually the children of such women are horribly neglected while their mother spends the money on booze, boyfriends, and/or drugs for herself.

Better lock up your fridges and rimz.

I totally agree with this policy. It is impossible to even bring up these days without some race-baiter jumping all over your case. I don't think we can win this argument any time soon.

But the good news is, we don't have to win the argument. Something is coming that will reinstall the Darwin code in our country. It will soon become survival of the fittest once again. It's going to be ugly at first. But we will soon return to the way of nature.

BTW, MIgardner, which side of the state are you from? Do you expect another dismal Spring awakening like last year or an early importation of Miami's climate like 2012? I only ask because I am a West-sider coming back from a deployment soon and I want Winter to disappear as soon as possible when I return home. I am definitely not thrilled about transitioning from 80+ degrees to whatever it is back home right now.

After working at whatever job I could find while going to school and obtaining a BS and MS degree, then working for over 30 years at a company that decided to send most of their jobs to India and China, now in my late 60s I'm broke and jobs are scarce and preference is given to those under 30, no matter how unqualified they are. I just love being called a lazy welfare queen by the OP and the rest of society. Don't worry OP it will happen to you too and then everyone can hate you and call you lazy and wish they could put you in debtor's prison.

First let's get rid of a bloated and overreaching governmental system that makes it impossible for anyone but the uber-rich prosper in business.

First, let's get rid of Unconstitutional laws (and the system that enforces them) that make it a crime to use God given resources sustain your life.

First let's get rid of a tyrannical system that has made it a crime to even be alive if you're not one of THEM.

Then maybe government 'welfare' won't be such a big issue.

Take the welfare recipients and cutoff their legs and arms. Then they will know what it means to not work

Welfare is a very small drop in the bucket compared to these real problems.
