Re: When you die how long does it take for the soul to leave the body? Question Open to all religions
Hey there 84505, you caught my attention with your statement of this:
the soul doesn't leave the body, the spirit does
the soul stays with the body until the resurrection
---------------------------------
Prove in scripture that the soul stays with the body, would you please.
My bible tells me differantly. The body goes back to dust. Eccl. 12:6-7
The souls in heaven do not need these old flesh bodies.
I bet you can't prove your words... ha ha, just having fun with you...blessings

See 2268, your question is kinda a trick question.
Some people will linger longer than others in death. Some will see relatives that have been sent by God to guide them through the deminsions. Others it happens faster. But, in the teachings of Paul, in a twinkle of an eye, well thats pretty fast. How fast is a twinkle? Who knows?

the spirit is the living breath of god.
the soul (mind/heart) leaves the body on the last breath, when the physical heart is no longer able to function.

ok to speed things up, im trying to find out of those who believe in the existence of the soul/spirit,

does the soul take all memory with it?

when does the soul decide to leave the body, at which point does it know the body is dead?

does anybody know what is the longest time someone has been clinicaly dead for and then been brought back to life?

Some great philosophers have thought and quantum physics have proved energy cannot be destroyed. Energy could change or transision in my thoughts. Into what? You don't know until you get there. I also think that our brains are very limited in our 3 dimensional bodies. I think that you do live beyond this body, that we are here to experience and that we probably won't even have all out questions answer when we arrive to the other place.

I think the living body binds the soul through the astral stripe. If the body ceases to function (for example: brain wave frequency is under 2/sec or less) the astral stripe doesn't binds the soul anymore.

Re: When you die how long does it take for the soul to leave the body? Question Open to all religions
the reason i say that the soul stays with the body is that the soul is the part of "us" which is our body
our brain
our emotions
our will

our spirit is not connected to our body

so, when we die
our soul stays in the body (not cognizant of course)
and our spirit goes to be with our Creator

when Jesus resurrects the body, the soul comes up with it

you can have no soul without the human brain
and after death, the brain is dormant until the resurrection

we are like seeds
when the seed "dies" in the ground
a new plant grows up
but, it doesn't look like the seed

so while the body is rotting in the ground, its just dormant??

waiting to be uprooted by the ressurection and walk the earth?

Re: When you die how long does it take for the soul to leave the body? Question Open to all religions
look at it this way
if you take a dried up seed and put it in a closet, it is dead
but, if you plant it and water it
it comes back to "life"

the life was in the seed all along, but it needed to be activated
so, at the resurrection, our body and soul will be activated
just like the seed analogy
our eternal "body" will not necessarily look just like this current body
because a plant does not look like the see it grew from (does that make sense?)

yes, the dead body is like a dormant seed
the potential for life is still there
it just needs the right conditons to sprout

since bodies are born "fallen" because of adam's and eve's choices
our souls suffer because of interacting with a fallen body
this is why the soul needs saving
it needs to be saved FROM the demands of the fallen body
and given the freedom of being under the domain of the Higher Self or Spirit

medically, the soul is active until the brain's store of oxygen is depeted
after that, there would be no consciousness
the spirit can visit people before ascending to heaven

Why don't you web search for people who have had NDE's instead of asking "religious" people.

All you get from "religious people" is dogma from the NWO. Most don't even believe in reincarnation.

Do a LOT of research from real people not controllers.

Re: When you die how long does it take for the soul to leave the body? Question Open to all religions
well ive done some reasearch from sri aurobindo/alice bayley/eric weiss/and an interview with a guy from the robert monroe centre..

and heres what may happen...

your body when dying/dead will have a confrontation with the spirit/higer self....and this could last for days it depends on how differentiated you are so you may just dye and go straight to a place where you share/shared beliefs with like beings....i also noticed that hindus burn the body once the person dies so may be that confrontation don't take place and the higerself can leave without struggle...

the higer self is like a representative of your soul your soul does not get affected or grow from this experience on earth....

and when you die maybe you go into a zone where you get a panaoramic view of your life story..and then you get this experience of everything you did so when you said or made some feel good/bad you will get a taste of what they felt...

and then you die on the astral realm and then the mind level and then return to your
soul and have a "soul experince" which can't be explained....im guessing it can't be explained because perhaps people who have had near death experiences have only reach a level before you return to your source..

also your soul is like a palm and every time you are incarnated you have a representative which would be one of your fingers on the palm...so you could have different skills and qualitys..each time your are incarnated..

and also you can oly leave this shit hole if you master uncondtional love/or mastery...but if you attain unconditional love you can move on to other realms to become a master of whoever you may be...so when you die you might get told & asked "hey you have so mastered uncondtional love you can move on BUT if you look back in the earth they really need a person like you" so you have to decide and thats where your screwed...

i guess you will have to find out when YOU die.

Re: When you die how long does it take for the soul to leave the body? Question Open to all religions
ok thanks

so between posts here and my own research weve cleared a few things up

death is defined when the brain is completely starved of oxygen and thus it dies, which is usually about 5 minutes after the heart stops beating in normal temperatures, but is longer the colder you get the body. as the brains chemical processes slow down the colder it is.

the rest of the body (individual cells) takes much longer to die, but once the cells are dead as long as they are not denatured, or chemically altered they can be revived for an indefinite amount of time after clinical death (interesting)

perhaps the soul/spirit leaves the body at the point brain activity ceases, or does it leave after every cell in the body has also died?

from what has been posted here the actual soul/spirit travels to either heaven or hell or to be with god within an instant once it decides to leave or perhaps its requested to leave?
