He knows what is going on. He has been rational in his moves, calling bluffs, that is. He keeps putting the ball back in the US/Israel/Saudi court to see how they will play it. This has been his power plays. This has been an ongoing game of poker, if you will. I am not sure now what hand Putin will play NOW that the game is being played on his nations soil, but you can bet he will do something AFTER the Olympics, or he will play covertly. Russia has BRIC and they have formed a very tight alliance.
