As great as Nuclear Energy is in theory it only takes one technical screw up or natural disaster to destroy a whole region forever. It requires 0% margin of error and that is simply impossible.

So IF, such an inconceivable IF I can hardly think it...IF they are letting it spew and dumping it in the ocean just to put in place the rest of their Agenda 21, why on earth would Japan go along with it and do nothing? Why hasn't China charged in and declared them incompetent (no, I don't mean war) and fixed it? So many if's.

I totally agree with this. Mankind is not ready to handle such a responsibility.

I think every American home should be required to have its very on atomic thermally powered energy source. It would be a renewed step towards living peacefully. Of course it would have to be safe.

What get's me the most about the Fukushima incident is that the Japanese government did take it all over from the beginning and let some money gripping corporation try to run things into the ground. Fukushima should have been a gov/military run operation from day one....

Nuclear power always has and always will be fully insured by governments who skim the "profits" to make nuclear weapons.

There is no private sector entity, even with full "person hood" status and zero personal liability for the actual flesh bags that haunt the hauls, who could possibly underwrite such activity.

If coal is going to kill us, it is going to take off the last few years of each individual life. It will take a couple of centuries for it to affect the planet in any significant way. But thanks to the statist nuclear gambit we wont get to find out if we could have fixed any problems coal might have created.

The only reason Obama is targeting US coal is so he can sell it to China.

I doubt that Citizenperth would be for nuclear energy at this point.

What scares me is;

If Germany with all its expertise in technology believes that nuclear energy is NOT controllable.
