In the 19th century, the German explorer Ludwig Krapf recorded the name as both Kenia and Kegnia believed by some to be a corruption of the Kamba version.[12][13][14] Others say that this was—on the contrary—a very precise notation of a correct African pronunciation /ˈkɛnjə/.[15] A 1882 map drawn by Joseph Thompsons, a Scottish geologist and naturalist, indicated Mt. Kenya as Mt. Kenia, 18620.[11] Controversy over the actual meaning of the word Kenya notwithstanding, it is clear that the mountain's name became widely accepted, pars pro toto, as the name of the country.

African-American history starts in the 16th century, with Africans forcibly taken to Spanish and English colonies in North America as slaves.

Your AC comment is a joke!

We are not talking about the 19th century or any other time than the time of the supposed document - at which time, the place in question was not called Internationally by the name Kenya! Officially recognised international documents of the time would not have used the name Kenya!
